This will be a detailed post to try and give you the best idea of how to order as well as the level of food and service to expect. I, my wife, and mother-in-law ate there last night. The food was good but with a few caveats. The all you can eat is a bit different and the servers are not well versed in English enough to explain in detail so, I'll try. There is a stack of papers at the table with two row of food available, several appetizers and seafood options. Once seated they write a number in front of you. You use that number when filling out the sheet. You can list up to 4 appetizers and 4 meat choices each time. My wife ordered crab legs and shrimp. I ordered tenders with two sides, onion rings and Cajun fries. My mother-in-law ordered the mayport shrimp with sweet potatoe fries and onion rings. Let's start with good and work out way down. The fries and onion rings were incredibly fresh, not just hot but the oil that was used. The onion rings were cooked to a light golden color and were crisp, but lacked any real seasoning. My tenders looked over cooked but in actuality were not. They were juicy and tender. The shrimp were very well done as well maybe a bit over seasoned but that's a case by case and individuals taste. Now for the really important part, crab legs. She ended up doing four to five orders of them. The only reason she stopped there was the final delivery was cold coming from the kitchen. If you over order and are unable to finish there is a penalty for food left on the plate of the AYCE. Or you can pay an additional $5 to take it home. Also we ordered two Pina colada both of which were very weak and watery. More ice then mixer or alcohol. The menu says it has Bacardi and is $9 a piece. On the bill they were only $7. Not knowing for sure why there is a difference it may have been they used a call brand instead of the named liquor. The reason I'm being so harsh on the atmosphere is the decor looked like it was bought at the dollar store, very tacky. Our server never once refilled our waters but was quick to remove any empty plates. It also felt a bit like we were being rushed to finish and leave. The thing I want to finish with is a warning. If you have 4 people or more the is an automatic 18% gratuity added...

The country boil ties it all together with corn, potatoes, and sausage soaking in a broth that tastes like a Southern tradition perfected.

Read moreFirst time visiting this restaurant and probably will never return. We went to see what was the hype about. Unfortunately, it TOTALLY missed its mark. When walking in there a customer was exiting stating we should go somewhere else..first red flag. All the customers upon entering at the front stated they had been waiting for 40 minutes or more. We headed to the bar because there was seats available..BIG MISTAKE, the waitress took about 20 minutes before she wiped the bar down and removed the last person drinks and food debris from the counter and this was only when we asked because she was going to put menus and pretend to wait on us. We couldn’t get two words out to order before she was stating wait a minute. I personally feel if you stop to interact with a guest who is in the middle or attempting to order why stop and keep leaving to go do something else. We were amongst several other parties who were not satisfied. We ended up leaving and I watched her as we exited. Her meaning the waitress/bartender she did not acknowledge or say anything as we left. This place is HIGHLY UNDERSTAFFED. We left and went to CRAFTY CRAB on Atlantic and the service was jolly on the spot, personable, and short wait times. Yes, I do know it’s a Saturday night. However, stop trying to keep all the money. Higher more help and a better quality of staff!!!! As you see I did not review the food BECAUSE WE DOD NOT GET THE OPPORTUNITY YO EAT. Who think we traveled from west Jax for this? Have several seats Juicy Seafood Mayport. You receive a ZERO ON A...
