Let me start by saying I am a server myself, so I really hate leaving a review like this, but this was by far one of the worst dinning experiences I have ever had. I have been to this location about five times now and every time except for one, my service has been very bad, this last time being exceptionally awful and just straight up weird.
My friend and I sat in the bar and ordered something to eat and drink before heading to our 9 o’clock reserved table. We had about six people joining us for my birthday, all of us from the service industry. So the tips were gonna be solid.
I had made A reservation for six and clearly stated that we were not sure if more people would show up or not. And that’s what I let the hostess know at the desk — this very much upset her. I let her know that it was OK to just seat us for six and she eventually begrudgingly took us back, but not before she argued at me and made the whole interaction super awkward.
When the hostess (short brown hair) took us back, she asked us if we were “going to be ordering any food” to which we replied we were not sure, as me and my friend had already eaten in the bar, but the other people in our party might want to eat but would for sure buy some drinks. She then went into a super aggressive spiel about how if we “didn’t order food our server didn’t get paid”. She said that if we just wanted to order drinks, we would need to sit in the bar… But for us that was not possible as one of my friends is not 21… It was by far one of the weirdest experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. She really did not want to seat us, even though we were extremely polite the entire time… but once we agreed to order some food, she finally let us sit. She hassled us for a good five minutes before she finally left us there to go find our server to “fill her in what was going on“… When the server finally came over and the hostess talked to her about our table within ears listen and eyes view, the server was clearly annoyed with us before we had even done anything. She didn’t great us, she didn’t make us feel welcome, she gave absolutely low ball service. She didn’t smile once. Not only did she make grimacing faces or eye rolls every time she left our table, but she was completely bothered by anything and everything we asked of her, which was not a lot. We were simply polite guests trying to celebrate a birthday at a sit down table.
All of us did end up ordering food, tho it was like we were blackmailed into doing it. but one of my friends food took over 30 minutes to come out, and she kept stopping by asking if we had received our food already, even though my Friend had Clearly not. He ate after we had all finished. Even when we ordered more drinks, our server was irritated, seemingly not wanting us to run a bigger tab. If you told me our server was trying to not get a tip I would believe you.
It was not very busy in the restaurant area at this time, we were the only table in our section except for one other person that we were even visible of. The dinner area was barely half full if even that. I don’t know if our server wanted to go home and just didn’t wanna deal with our table, or if maybe she had had a bad day… But I could not imagine giving the service she did, as we were a nice table and didn’t ask for much.
We love over tipping. my friends and I had brought a wad of cash to give our server prior to even ordering yet the experience totally blew it before it had even started. This was one of the worse experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant. As a supervisor, I’d fire that hostess. She was so unprofessional and down right rude, and Dave and busters shouldn’t have to guilt people into buying food.
The only saving Grace was that that little burger, hotdog and wings platter was absolutely cooked to perfection. Whoever is working back of house did a great job. It came out looking just like the picture and tasting amazing. The drinks were also made very well. I don’t know who does the hiring or training here, but this is a big fail...
Read moreWe rented a private room in Function 1 on a Saturday night for my son's graduation only to be charged for food that never materialized during the event. I approached a lady who was pushing a cart of food towards the buffet set up and questioned if that's all the food for all of my guests. She shows me the BEO paper which shows 20 people that's circled instead of the 40 I had initially requested per contract. Confused, I remained calmed and continued setting up the pastries and decors for the event hoping to meet with the manager or at least one of the POC from the event team. During the 3 hour event, food ran out before the hour is up and the 2 servers assigned to us only came once every hour where drinks were left mostly empty with our guests having to put their cups on the edge of their tables to signal their need for refills. Mind you, we have teenagers, toddlers and babies on top of their parents amongst the guests so the servers are fully aware of the market they'll have to deal with for the rest of the night but the service never existed including lack of AC in the room with the 2 entrance doors kept open throughout the night in order to ventilate the room while hearing all the commotions outside! I was on frantic, full anxiety mode the whole entire time catering to my guests and making sure everyone is comfortable and doing fine.
We decided to book with your company for the venue, food and service but the only thing we received in the end was a room to sit our family and friends for 3 hours. I even requested a detailed receipt from the night manager, Katrina before we left the venue but she told me she will have to reach out to the event department next week. The event department never emailed me a receipt come Monday so I went ahead and emailed them Tuesday. Sarah the event coordinator replied back with a receipt which I then questioned why we were charged for food that was never served. She then emails me with an apology and that we were served for 40 people, completely disregarding the fact that she or anyone from her event department as POC was not present to confirm the correct amount that were served to us per contract. Not to mention, Sarah is the 3rd person from the event department amidst all the planning thats taken place via emails leading up to the night of event. I should've already foreseen the red flags seeing how many people from the event department I had to deal with in order to set up this event for our son's night.
The damage is already done and the service and lack there off is irreversible. We just want accountability and not be given the run around because you dropped the ball on your end due to lack of miscommunication and organization amongst your staff. I have been very patient throughout this whole ordeal but as someone who's been in the hospitality industry for more than a decade and hosted many events, this is not how you treat a paying customer especially when contracts are involved. We have paid more than substantially. My main goal that night was to make sure our son had a memorable night and enjoyed himself with close family & friends and deal with the issues we experienced in an appropriate manner as not to ruin it for him. Please do better and make things right so another family won't ever have to experience and go through this...
Read moreI'd like to submit feedback regarding my check 7966 and my mother's check 7989. She would submit her own feed back, but NONE of her receipts had an order ID. I have to assume that's because it was to discourage her from submitting a survey. We came to D&B to celebrate my step dad's birthday. Big FIVE O! MY step dad ordered a bloody Mary, he received the alcohol, but no tomato juice. Our server did not bring him the drink, it was someone else and he had asked that server for the juice twice, which went ignored. Our server was leaving another table when we were able to catch her attention to ask for the juice. She informed us that the bar was out of the juice, which would have been nice to know before placing the order. My mother ordered an appetizer and a main dish which were served at the same time, instead of appetizer first. Napkins and cutlery was not provided until asked for several times. Our food finally arrived, and I say finally because it took an hour and a half to receive our meals... well most of them. Everyone received their food and appetizer at once except myself. Our server informed us that my meal ticket was not submitted.... so I was to wait an additional 10-15 minutes, at this time the manager visited, apologized and told us our server was crying in the back. Which is unfortunate because she was pretty nice, the experience was difficult on her and ourselves. We ordered 4 power cards, and asked for only one to have more play tickets for the extra $3.... when we received our cards we were informed that all cards received the upgrade and all were charged $3, not what we asked for. The manager informed us that she would remove my meal, and our table would receive %50 off plus the card upgrade charge taken off while allowing us to keep the 125 points. That was really nice! And very appreciated given the situation. Once we received our bills we found we were charged full price plus the upgrade on the cards. I'm assuming lack of communication? We informed the server and the bills were corrected. Once we received the revised bill we found that my mom and her friend were charged for the others drink. At that point they chose to let it go because the difference in drinks was only $1.00. Reviewing my receipt I saw that my fiances food was not given the %50 discount we were promised but since my meal was taken off the ticket we also decided to let it go. Our dining experience lasted for 2 hours. Most of which I spent waiting for food. After we ate, we went to play some games! I inserted my card into the first machine and SURPRISE! I had NO points.... I went to the front desk, explained our dining situation, provided my receipt and he quickly added the 125 points to my card. Unfortunately many of the games were being used, but the few that I did play were pretty fun. Sadly, half the games I went to to play were out of order!!! At least 5 games were shut down! With so many people and so many options I found that In the hour I spent on the play floor, I had only been able to do a few games. Most of my time was spent walking around, looking for a working game or waiting to play another game. I was completely underwhelmed by the entire experience. Photo is of 2 games side by side, left one was not working. One of many...
