I was suggested the chicken teriyaki, and aside from the rude attitude, which I would never have written a review about, if it wasn't for how they handled the food issue. I didn't have my card on me, so I had to order through uber eats. After trying to get through the chicken, which was very dry, for 10 min (I thought maybe it was just a few dry pieces) and I couldn't find one that made me chew and chew and chew and chew...I tried to tell them and asked if they could replace it. They looked at me like I was crazy or they couldn't understand me. He said, 'What do you want me to do?' I said, 'could you replace the chicken?'. He said 'no', and she then said she couldn't cancel, only uber can cancel. I said, 'I don't want to cancel, I just want it replaced, I want chicken I can chew.' So long story short I'm sitting here, staring at chicken that scrapes on the way down cuz I don't have the energy to chew that much (I'm not exaggerating), and I went through uber eats, they are going to refund me, but I'm stuck with chicken I don't want to eat. I don't want my money back, I wanted fresh chicken. Even half fresh chicken. Maybe they did what some places do, if it's through iber they give you the old stuff so you can't complain to them...even if you are standing in...
Read moreI stopped coming here which was really sad. I ordered tofu fried rice(literally the only thing I ever order) and on one occasion there was a different woman on the phone. When I came to pick up my food t was an order of fried tofu teriyaki with white rice. I was thinking it was a simple mistake and asked them to remake it. They refused and said if I want fried rice added to the meal I had a small portion would be $3.95. I explained it wasn’t what I order this is my local shop, I come in 1-2 times a week for pickup orders. The woman who usually rings me up at the front just stared at me. A man came in and asked what was good they were very focused on helping him and there was no one else in the restaurant. The cook came out and looked at me so angry , I waved and smiled because I see him all the time and then he walked away speaking another language. I speak that language and what they said was nothing short of cruel. She told me to come back the next day and I won’t. I can’t eat somewhere where people openly dislike brown people, let alone trust they will prepare my food with love and good intentions. Won’t ever eat here again and just a reminder that customer service is apparently different here depending on...
Read moreWe just ate here for my last night in town because, as a PNW native, every trip home I need to get my teriyaki fix. We went here on my brother’s recommendation and boy, it did NOT disappoint!
My brother and I got the spicy chicken and beef combo. Delightful and pleasantly spicy. If you don’t like spice I wouldn’t get the spicy version but if you do enjoy a tasty amount of heat, this is spot on. Not too hot, certainly flavorful.
The rest of the family got chicken teriyaki, veggie yakisoba, and the chicken and katsu combo. We all shared a plate of gyoza. I tried most everything and all of it was delightful.
My favorite part about the place though was the people working. They were both so kind and remembered my brother even though he hadn’t been able to come by in some time. They bonded with my 4 year old nephew quickly and were wonderfully genuine in their actions. They were very quick to help with anything we needed (nothing crazy, we spilled some water and they came out with a pen so we could label our boxes without us asking for one. Just very helpful in general).
Consider me a long time fan. I will come back any time I am in the area! Thank you so much for wonderful service and...
