I was suggested the chicken teriyaki, and aside from the rude attitude, which I would never have written a review about, if it wasn't for how they handled the food issue. I didn't have my card on me, so I had to order through uber eats. After trying to get through the chicken, which was very dry, for 10 min (I thought maybe it was just a few dry pieces) and I couldn't find one that made me chew and chew and chew and chew...I tried to tell them and asked if they could replace it. They looked at me like I was crazy or they couldn't understand me. He said, 'What do you want me to do?' I said, 'could you replace the chicken?'. He said 'no', and she then said she couldn't cancel, only uber can cancel. I said, 'I don't want to cancel, I just want it replaced, I want chicken I can chew.' So long story short I'm sitting here, staring at chicken that scrapes on the way down cuz I don't have the energy to chew that much (I'm not exaggerating), and I went through uber eats, they are going to refund me, but I'm stuck with chicken I don't want to eat. I don't want my money back, I wanted fresh chicken. Even half fresh chicken. Maybe they did what some places do, if it's through iber they give you the old stuff so you can't complain to them...even if you are standing in...

I stopped coming here which was really sad. I ordered tofu fried rice(literally the only thing I ever order) and on one occasion there was a different woman on the phone. When I came to pick up my food t was an order of fried tofu teriyaki with white rice. I was thinking it was a simple mistake and asked them to remake it. They refused and said if I want fried rice added to the meal I had a small portion would be $3.95. I explained it wasn’t what I order this is my local shop, I come in 1-2 times a week for pickup orders. The woman who usually rings me up at the front just stared at me. A man came in and asked what was good they were very focused on helping him and there was no one else in the restaurant. The cook came out and looked at me so angry , I waved and smiled because I see him all the time and then he walked away speaking another language. I speak that language and what they said was nothing short of cruel. She told me to come back the next day and I won’t. I can’t eat somewhere where people openly dislike brown people, let alone trust they will prepare my food with love and good intentions. Won’t ever eat here again and just a reminder that customer service is apparently different here depending on...

We just ate here for my last night in town because, as a PNW native, every trip home I need to get my teriyaki fix. We went here on my brother’s recommendation and boy, it did NOT disappoint!

My brother and I got the spicy chicken and beef combo. Delightful and pleasantly spicy. If you don’t like spice I wouldn’t get the spicy version but if you do enjoy a tasty amount of heat, this is spot on. Not too hot, certainly flavorful.

The rest of the family got chicken teriyaki, veggie yakisoba, and the chicken and katsu combo. We all shared a plate of gyoza. I tried most everything and all of it was delightful.

My favorite part about the place though was the people working. They were both so kind and remembered my brother even though he hadn’t been able to come by in some time. They bonded with my 4 year old nephew quickly and were wonderfully genuine in their actions. They were very quick to help with anything we needed (nothing crazy, we spilled some water and they came out with a pen so we could label our boxes without us asking for one. Just very helpful in general).

Consider me a long time fan. I will come back any time I am in the area! Thank you so much for wonderful service and...

Normally I never order a sushi roll from a teriyaki place by default but thought I'd change it up today. I'm no ricr expert and not calling this the best sushi ever but the rice was nice, soft and not dry. The tuna was also tasty and not warm at all. You can find rolls at the grocery for similar meat to rice ratio but they're a lot more expensive. Good value, taste, and price here - at least for the tuna. Didn't scroll too far down but saw a disapproving review of the katsu. Perhaps they received a bad batch but the katsu I ordered came out fine. Not the best I've had but not rock hard as described in another review. Overall I ended up enjoying the sushi more than the katsu even though the sushi was supposed to be the afterthought. The katsu was still tasty just wouldn't make it my first choice on the next order. Will come back to try the rest of the menu here.

I consider them to be one of the best teriyaki restaurants in Auburn. I've eaten here for almost 10 years. Today must be a one-off because they're usually right on with their spicy chicken, but wasn't even close. Could be because I ordered close to when they were closing? I don't know. Their spicy teriyaki sauce is great (like any other day I have this) and their salad + dressing, but the chicken and gyoza was not good at all: chicken was hard, dry, overcooked; some pieces are too chewy. Gyoza was darker than usual (old oil perhaps?). Everyday (except today) would be 5 stars. Had to go with 2 because it's hard to eat. A bit shocking, must be one-off, will try again later.

Loved the chicken katsu that I just demolished! The katsu had good flavor, katsu sauce is solid with a little sweetness and tang. Rice was a little dry, but we in Auburn, so i guess you got to appeal to the demographics. You don't come here for the salad although the dressing was good. The restaurant feels homey with a nice korean couple running the show. Overall, the food, homey feeling and sweet auntie and uncle makes this place a winner. 잘 먹겠습니다.
