Piccolo 241 Jazz & Cocktails — Restaurant in Auburn

This is a magnificent restaurant. Well, just let me start from the beginning. I arrived to free valet. Upon entry, I was greeted by a hostess and dimmed lights. There were several couples sitting closely and engaged in each other's conversation. The mood is relaxed.

A few minutes later, the band arrived. Boy, were they excellent. There was a bass, a sax, and a pianist. New Orleans is me and my husband's favorite city and the wonderful music they played so effortlessly made me miss the magic of that city. We sat and listened for hours. Literally, like 3. Lol

The menu is filled with any kind of wine you could think of. It was truly a location that I am glad I discovered and will be back...

Sat at the bar and service was good once you pleaded for something. Had to ask another patron for a menu as I couldn't get one from the bartenders. Had to plead to order food, had to plead for dessert, and had to plead for coffee. As for the food? The noodles with the piccata was gummy while the chicken excellent. I'd recommend putting some vodka in with the pasta water and pulling the noodles out a couple minutes earlier. The coffee was delicious and the...

Great place with awesome live jazz! When we arrived there was no one at the hostess stand. Went to the restaurant area, but no one was at the reception area either. Eventually just found an empty table that had not been bussed yet. Ends up there was only one server for that packed Saturday night. Eventually did get drinks, Manhattans, which were awesome!
