Like Forrest Gump's mama gave him advice, my mom did the same for me. My mom said, "If you can't say something nice, then don't say anything." I'll begin by saying that the ice was cold and the Sprite tasted like like it should. Beyond that (Sorry, Mom) I have nothing "good" to say. The proprietor was friendly, he took my order, took my money, delivered my meal and I never saw him again. (So... 3 stars) While waiting for my meal, I heard a microwave chime and immediately thought, "Awh, oh." The brisket I had was without flavor, except that of the bbq sauce (broth) it was bathing in. Another reviewer referred to it as "soup." (I should have read the reviews before I chose this place for dinner; I simply saw the rating of 4 point something and thought I'd give it a try because it was nearby.) For the two sides, I chose bbq beans and potato salad. I can say, in all likelihood, that no one makes bbq beans and potato salad like this place and there's a reason for that. I won't elaborate. The bread that came with the meal closely resembled a hotdog bun, which had been warmed on the grill. (Food... 1 star) I won't rate the atmosphere because it's not important to me. I went for a meal, not to look around or to be seen. I recommend that you read others' reviews. Regrettably, I did not. Overall...

If you are driving through Auburn pass all the commercial fast food and get yourself some real bbq! Great little place, never would have found it without Google maps area search, but so glad we did. In a super funky little strip mall, but look past that and follow your nose to the smoky, sweet smell! We tried the brisket and tri-tip, and they we're each delicious and unique (sometimes with BBQ all the beef tastes the same). We also had the garlic mashed potatoes, potato salad, coleslaw, fries and corn bread. All the sides except the fries are legit house made, nothing out of a tub or dehydrated potatoes. The corn bread had actual bits of green onion and corn kernels. My only little issue was the styrofoam plates, but I understand in such a small place real plates just wouldn't be feasible and paper would probably collapse under the weight of the...

Hands down the best BBQ place in the area. Small family business ran by a man who cares about his work. It's a small hole in the wall with little to no curb appeal besides a large star sign above the door. The food was absolutely delicious and the servings are more than fair. He smokes and cooks his meat outside their front door in a smoker that fills the air with a wonderful smell. The pulled pork is my favorite dish with soft and a tender pork mouthful. It goes along with two sides. He brings your food to you and keeps each portion separate using plates that have their own compartments. We will continue coming here every time we are in the area. His food is great and so is his attitude. Customer service was great. The building is small and there are only a few tables, even a few outside. But it's a diamond in the rough right off of the freeway!...

This place gets 1 🌟 only because I have to put something. We ordered hot link, pork ribs, dark meat chicken, potato salad, cole slaw, fries and pasta salad. I have never, ever had dryer and dry, harder than hell, tasteless, bbq food until today. We asked for dark meat. How does part of the breast and back constitute dark meat? The last time Inchecked, dark meat consists of leg and thigh. OMG! Those ribs were NOT fall off the bone! They were waaaaaay overcooked, tough and dry, dry, dry!!! Fries were soggy, both, potato and pasta salad were more like pickle salad! The slaw was watery! Needless to say, it was our first and last time going there!

This was rough. I had high hopes based on other reviews. However, this place was just really run down and dirty. You could see large dirty pots along the kitchen. There was a basket of potato's by the door starting to shrivel. I could hear the microwave running as my food was heated up. My coleslaw came from an enormous bag. The food was bland and the meat instantly separated from the water making it look like a mess in the foam clamshell box. Even the soda machine came out somewhat flat. Sadly was not able to finish dinner. Hope this place gets cleaned up and gets a makeover to both the food and the space.
