Green Tea — Restaurant in Auburndale

I’ve eaten from here several times now, the food and service have never disappointed me so today I decided to write a review after such a long and consistent record. I’m writing this as I enjoy my meal at home, I think the prices are very reasonable for the quality of food they offer, even though times have changed I believe that they have maintained themselves at a fair price. I ordered 3 meals today, a General Tso’s with white rice, a bourbon chicken with white rice, and a General Tso’s with pork fried rice. My favorite has to be General Tso’s with white rice, it’s been a very comforting meal for me for some time, I find that they make it perfect. I also think the service is excellent the person at the counter is always kind, ensuring I have everything I ordered, offering sauces, utensils, and wishing me a good day with a pleasant attitude. I have tried green tea twice with my boyfriend. He has lived here for his entire life but I moved to lake Alfred from Avon park FL almost a year ago, and have heard everyone talk about this place. I went once and didn’t like the food, but after hearing more good things I decided to try it again. I got the spring roll,veggie lomein & sesame chicken, plain fried rice. My boyfriend got the egg roll, orange chicken and plain fried rice. The food looked very good but I did not like it again and neither did he. he said it seems like they changed the recipe or are doing something different. To me the food barely has any sort of taste, the lomein was really greasy. both of our fried rice tasted like it was cooked in a dirty wok and had black pieces throughout. Wish I could leave no star because they really tried it. I ordered honey wings and fries and they gave me old McDonald’s fries then tried to tell me that they weren’t. Ma’am everybody and they mama know what McDonald’s fries look and taste like they even had the freaking salt on them. Their prices are to high for them to attempt to mess up somebody order like that. I’m Tempted to call the health department on them because that’s super unsanitary…. Update owner says they were “shoe string fries” definitely were not my co worker even tried them they were OLD MCDONALD’S FRIES. Many restaurants use shoe string fries believe me I know the difference. Those were not fried fresh and yes of course I switched them out for rice I wasn’t going to try my luck and get more old McDonald’s fries AGAIN that would have been just dumb on...
