2.5 stars. Just ate here for the first time. We ordered delivery of 2 combo plates (mongolian beef and cantonese chicken) plus egg drop soup. I spoke to 2 people on the phone, 1 was a lady with a strong Asian accent, the other was a man with no accent whatsoever and perfect English. We weren't given an estimated delivery time which was odd. Delivery was only $3, they are 4.5 miles away. It was a weekend night. Delivery took 90 minutes. The delivery person was friendly. We anxiously examined our dishes. The order was wrong! Instead of mongolian beef we received what must have been garlic sauce beef. Instead of Cantonese chicken we got General Tso chicken. Please see the pics. They got egg drop soup right at least. I'm not mad, just really confused! In 30 years of frequently ordering from Chinese restaurants NEVER has an order been totally INCORRECT. Maybe they got our order mixed up with someone elses? We were really hungry so we shrugged it off and dug in. Despite the wait, our food was hot and fresh from the kitchen. The (garlic?) Beef dish was alright. The beef was very, very tender, the veggies were just right and plentiful. The mild brown sauce it was in was a bit too mild... Needed punching up. Whatever dish it was, it was pretty decent. Next, the General Tso chicken... I found it really flavorful and the meat was nice and tender. Instead of large sized chunks the chicken was cut into small bites. I like that because the tasty, sweet-tangy sauce mingles better that way and it's not as awkward to eat with chop sticks. Some places add carrots, some don't but this one did toss in a few slices. This was a better dish than the beef one. The pork fried rice here was mediocre. It wasn't dry. It wasn't oily. It wasn't totally bland. It was just what you'd expect it to be. The egg drop soup was also mediocre. It had body and was thicker than some places (good imo!) but really could've benefitted from a little zing or at least green onion bits. Would I order from this restaurant again? Big Maaaaaaybe...only if I wasn't in a hurry, or if I didn't care at all what mystery dish I...
Read moreI called to ask what comes with their combination plates because on Uber Eats it doesn't say. The nice lady who answered the phone told me fried rice and an egg roll.
I told her I would order straight through her instead of Uber Eats if they deliver and she said they do, so I did. I literally ordered while paying for my drinks at the gas station right next to my hotel.
I drive to my hotel and smoke a cigarette before going up to my room. My wife texts me and says my food is looking for me! LOL I head upstairs and sure enough, my food was already there sitting outside my hotel room door. Apparently I gave them my wife's # instead of mine.
Anyway, along with the food being delivered extremely fast, it was delicious!!!
The boneless spareribs that were amazing.
The pan fried dumplings?? AWESOME!!!
Pepper steak?? Pretty darn good, although alot of veggies and not as much steak.
And the egg roll was crispy and delicious!!
I am from Jersey, just working here for a few days, and I must say my dinner tonight was as good if not better than the place I get my chinese food from back home.
Well worth ordering and they deliver QUICKLY if you call...
Read moreTucked away next to Publix is a hidden gem for takeout, a small, family-run Chinese restaurant that may not look like much inside, but more than makes up for it with outstanding food, generous portions, and friendly service. The interior is simple and unassuming, but don’t let that fool you, the flavors coming out of the kitchen are anything but basic. The House Lo Mein was a standout, packed with tender meats and juicy shrimp, all perfectly mixed with savory noodles. The General Tso’s Chicken had just the right amount of kick, crispy, slightly spicy, and seriously delicious. The Sesame Chicken was just as satisfying, coated in a rich, flavorful glaze. The service was top-notch, warm and welcoming. They even brought us a tiny cup of something fresh from the kitchen to sample, which was a thoughtful and personal touch. With great prices, hearty portions, and food that hits the spot, this unpretentious little spot is well...
