It's was a great day for a Pie Wedding!
My honey and I were married on Pi (Pie) day and I worked with the Pie Hole to catering the wedding pies. MIND BLOWN! If you haven't had their pies yet, you need to go immediately! We will not buy pie from anyone else. Period.
We received so many compliments on the pies and there was nothing left! (Sad day for me, since I was hoping to have some leftover).
My husband is extremely particular about his Key Lime pie and will now only eat the Key Lime Pie from the Pie Hole. Their Coconut Cream is the best I've had. I specifically asked for a blueberry pie, as that is my Tio's favorite pie. The Pie Hole kept apologizing for using frozen blueberries - no apologies needed! He RAVED over the pie and said it was the "best blueberry pie since your grandmothers" and it "was a perfect Maine blueberry pie" (New Englanders' are blueberry pie snobs)....and how hard it is to find a good blueberry pie. I think he ate half of it himself lol. The Pie Hole threw in "prizes" as part of my Pie Wedding day celebration and they were a blast!
What are you waiting for? GO NOW. But save me some...
Read moreSooo this is my first time eating here. I ordered from DoorDash. I ordered a mini savory chicken pot pie, a pecan pie and a coke. The savory pie is definitely not Marie Callender’s. It tastes very home cooked, healthy and fresh. It also tastes low salt. I’m not mad at ‘em because that’s hard to find on DoorDash. The pecan pie is also very good. It’s got the biggest pecans I’ve ever seen and it’s not too sweet. Something else that’s hard to find on DoorDash (says the lady with a pint of Coke🤣). Now y’all know that y’all have had some pecan pie that was so sweet you couldn’t do it. Yeah, this is not that pie. The cold Coke was meh... same old same old. I was looking for something like some home cooking and I found it here. Maybe...
Read moreI really love pie, and having just moved here was excited for a business that was all about my favorite dessert. We got the pecan pie, and I was extremely disappointed. The filling and pecans were great...but the bottom crust was SO thin and hard like cardboard. The crust on the periphery was really hard and too salty. I really wanted to like this place, and had been looking forward to trying the blueberry. I might try it again in the future, but I'll have to wait a few months until I forget how disappointing my first experience was. After eating the pie with guests, there is about half left over. Honestly probably not worth the calories to eat it.
Edit: We got one of their morning buns too, that was...
