I have been going to Pelican Snoballs in Augusta for about 8 months now. Its the “only” treat that my daughter gets when she has good behavior in her class. We are there almost every day at 12pm. Recently, there has been a change in how they serve the actual snowball to you. You can only get it flat if you want it in a bigger cup or round if you stuck with the original size. First, let me just say that I like rules, but there needs to be common sense taken into account when making rules, so whomever is making the rules at this establishment either doesn't have any or refuses to use any.. Because when a customer who has a messy 5 year old daughter is asking and willing to pay for a larger cup but still have the round shape (like a flat one even looks like a snoball... Um, No, it doesnt! ) Then I believe the company should oblige that customers request, especially if they are willing to pay extra. In my daughters 5 year old mind snoballs aren't supposed to be flat- she wants it to look like the picture..So this is what I asked for... Can you please make a kiddie size snoball in a larger cup but only fill it half way so that the “round ball” isnt sticking up over the lip of the cup?? And at both augusta, and north augusta locations I was told that the owner will not allow the girls to do this anymore even if I pay extra, which in reality I’m still only getting the kiddie size or even less than a kiddie size snowball I just want it in a larger cup. This absolutely makes NO SENSE... my request is not unreasonable and Im sure there are plenty of moms out there that can understand exactly what and why Im asking.. Needless to say, I will not be back and I will now I have to find my daughter a new treat spot for her good behavior. It’s really a shame considering that I was a good and consistent customer and tipped every time I came through the drive-thru.
**In response to owners; you need to consider switching back to the old cups. Ive had 3 moms just today say they think the same thing I am...
Read moreI came to the store today around maybe 2ish & order a large banana Snoballs inside the store…The two gentlemen that helped me were great but the reason I’m leaving a low review because the shorter boy with curly hair was extremely rude to the female employee that was in the back…she came out from the back to see if they needed any help with the cars at the drive through & the boy taking the order said something about vanilla ice cream & the female employee said let me check if we have some so she went into the side room to look for ice cream & she came out with a reply of we only have chocolate. The boy with the short hair started getting really nasty with her saying she wants chocolate snocream & stuffed with vanilla ice cream the female employee replied back with again we only have chocolate and showed him…the boy with the short curly hair started yelling at her in front of me who is sitting at the table in the store but in front of the other employee and the people at the drive through…you could tell she was caught off guard and embarrassed due how she walked off & went to whatever is behind the black curtains in the back of the store all she was trying to do was be helpful and she got her head bitten off for no reason…I will say this she handle that situation a lot better than me because if that was me I would’ve not been so kind...
Read moreI have been to other locations and never had a problem. This location was different. I ordered two regular snowballs and one large, as well as a cup of ice. Total was $15.XX. I asked if they could put them in styrofoam cups since I was driving almost half an hour away and didn’t want them to melt before my kids could enjoy them. I was handed the snowballs in paper cups and was told they no longer have styrofoam. Nice. I asked for two extra cups to insulate the regular size snowballs a little. Payton said they couldn’t just give me two cups, so I offered to pay for them. She rolled her eyes and sighed then told me it would be $9.00 for just two cups. What?!? I asked how much I JUST paid for a cup of ice and she ignored me. I then said I wanted to buy two cups of ice, which totaled $3. She again rolled her eyes and handed me the cups of ice. As I was pulling out of the parking lot, I looked in the regular cups (they all had lids) and they were only half full! The large had a little more, but I soon realized the bottom half was plain ice! I have never been more disappointed in a snowball. Please retrain Payton on the importance of good...
