Make sure you bring cash. Tried to ask the older lady that runs the register a question. She pushed me off and told me to go to other side to ask the girl what flavor of ice cream I was pointing too. Also no sign when you walk in that it is all cash. I went to pay and the lady tells me cash and a small sign behind her head stating that. Please post the sign by your door or before ordering that it is strictly cash. Also elote was a good size but very watery and hardly no cheese of mayonnaise. I wish I would have witnessed putting on cheese to ask for more. Just because no taste i threw half of it out. Been coming here since I was in elementary school (I’m turning 28 this yr), this place has come a long way and has always been my go to spot for their elotes it is a family favorite.i remember they only sold elotes and now they have a large variety of snacks/food to get. I always recommend this place to every family member/ friends/coworkers to come here. Even my family from LA talk about this place and it’s been about 10 yrs since they’ve been. Anytime I get elotes from somewhere else (super rare) I always say “elotes Gomez is better”. No other place compares. This place seems to be quite popular judging by the long line. The elotes comes in 3 different sizes and either on the cob or off. The large is about $4. They also have something called Mangonada, which is mango flavored smoothie, spicy tamarind syrup with mango on top. It’s quite tasty and comes in 3 sizes. The large is about $5.
