Golden Buffet — Restaurant in Aurora Township

This was by far, the absolute worst food establishment I have ever been to in my life. Disgustingly filthy, all over every surface. Walls, floors, tables, everything, just absolutely caked in filth. The food was horrible, I took exactly one bite of 3 different things, spit it out each time and after the third I turned to my family and told everyone we needed to leave. They immediately agreed. I can’t even explain the taste of the food. Literal Cardboard soaked in soy sauce. We did not even want to waste one more second inside this place, so we didn’t ask for our money back. I nearly vomited in the parking lot, I washed my mouth out with water and my entire family dumped about an half a bottle of hand sanitizer all over our hands and arms. Over $50 wasted. In my 27 years of life this is the first and only time I’ve ever walked out of a place. I’ve worked in food service and hung out in a lot of dive bars. I am not bothered by typical germs. This was EXTREME. I would never go back to this place if you paid me to. Don’t waste your money here. If you really love Chinese buffets, take the drive and go to China House in Dekalb. The buffet is OKAY. The place is kinda small, in terms of dish verity, they don’t even serve sushi. And almost all the time the fried food is either too dry or simply not fresh. This is the closest self serve buffet near me & we almost always take out but the prices are kinda 👎 compared to dine in or take out. I always pay $35 which includes 2 adults and 4 y/o child. I’d say I’m only happy to visit this place because my kid started eating something other than cucumbers and sausage thanks to this place so I come here mostly for him. But I can’t confirm 100% the food is good at all times. First time we spotted the buffet it was good. Though small dish choice everything was fresh and tasty. But later times we attended this buffet, food wasn’t so good, though we still managed to fill our bellies. Never had issue w/toilet. As some people express such problem after attending a buffet. All in all this place is 1/2 packed with allot of Hispanic people. Everyone is nice. I don’t have a problem w/ nationality, I’m an immigrant myself (Russian). But the place is kinda shabby looking. ZERO STARS! When i walked in there was nobody at the register and nobody to greet me or seat me. I stood there for 5 to 10 minutes, and as i was about to leave, an older asian gentleman told me to get a plate and have a seat, so i served my plate and sat down. I noticed a younger asian gentleman across the room watching me get my food. He waited until i sat down, and as i was about to take my first bite, he comes up to my table and rudely says "You didnt pay for that! You have to pay NOW!". So i paid and went back to my food, which was now cold. I thought maybe the food got cold while i was paying. I couldnt eat much off that first plate because the food just tasted bad. When i got my second plate that food was also cold, so i went up to the buffet and put my hand over the food to check the temp and ALL the food was cold. I left the second plate there and walked out.
