City Donuts — Restaurant in Aurora

Okay so went for the first time last weekend and it was great! Very nice you gladly suggested this crumb cake donut. It was like some crazy creative baker decided to cross bread a coffee crumb cake with a cake donut. She said they’re were her favorite and suggested I try one. Well I got four of them in my dozen, and that is all folks now talk about at work. Everyone is asking when I can bring those back in because they were EPIC!

The donuts are beyond fresh. Puffy nice dough with this little bit of texture on the outside that gives them a little weight. The filled donuts are supreme with enough filing to be tasty, but not overloaded so much that the dough around it is soggy. The folks here know what they are doing!!! Went to the Aurora location today, Saturday the 21st of August, at around 6 and was very unimpressed with the employee they had on. The guy just seemed like he couldn't care less and just wanted to get out of there, he was very apathetic and just not very professional. He lazily threw the donuts I chose into the container and I had to rearrange them in the car. They tasted ok, but we're nothing special, a bit dry, one of them fell apart as I was rearranging them. I paid 9 dollars for a half dozen, and with this quality you'd be better off just getting a big box from King Soopers. This place was decent. I came in here to get two dozen donuts for my littles class. This was actually not my first choice after looking on the internet however, they were the first to answer the phone so I went with them. They had the donuts done when I arrived at the beginning of the time window that I gave. The decorations on the windows and doors were great and the customer service was good. For the two dozen donuts, 3 separate donuts and tip I spent 40 dollars. When I opened the box I was a little upset. The donuts just looked sloppy.
