It is a very small menu. For the price, they could give you larger portions. The PHO is decent. I liked the spring rolls most of all. I am not a big fan of being served raw meat to eat. It's ran by OG's, seems like a multi-generational family-owned restaurant; that's how you know it's good! It's located on a corner, conveniently in Del-Mar shopping district. It's easy to miss because their windows are tinted and shades down, but once inside it creates a pleasantly isolated atmosphere, and you can almost forget you're in a busy shopping district with cars and commotion and people; it's just cool, calm, dark, and delicious.

Both types are critical in Vietnam and they tell you different things about how the restaurant creates depth and breadth in flavors. The flavors here are more subtle than most pho places so you might have to add your own seasonings. I think they use much less MSG, hence more subtle flavors but the foundation is there.
