Aurora Plaza — Local services in Aurora

Decent King Soopers and one of the few in the area that still do cake decorating/special order cakes. Picked up 2 dozen cupcakes on Saturday morning, ordered Thursday afternoon. They weren't exactly to order (ordered 12 chocolate and 12 vanilla) because they were somehow out of chocolate cake batter. These were for a kids birthday party, so not a big deal. I'd also told them that they could use whatever leftover icing colors they had after doing other cakes. Nothing needed to match. I think they may have done just that, as the cupcakes were in pretty much every "boy" color (no pink, purple or pastels.) They were super colorful and fun, no two were alike! The girl that took the order was super sweet and accommodating. The one that was there when I went to pick them up actually said, "Take it or leave it," when telling me there were no chocolate cupcakes. LOL! (Benefit of the doubt: I think she was having a bad day, possibly out of many bakery supplies, and very possibly short-handed on staff.) In the end, what mattered was that the cupcakes were super colorful and perfect for a kids' birthday party and done on time. I would definitely give them another shot at a cake order...

Kingsoopers store is disgusting! 🤢🤮 Dirty and always stinks like a 3rd world 🌎 country bathroom! Fruits and vegetables almost seem like they're never fresh. Or at least when my husband and I go. We only go there because it's close to get last minute stuff. Not shop. I usually will go to a Kingsoopers further to shop. This Kingsoopers also feels unsafe. The whole plaza feels unsafe! The Burger 🍔 King is slow and the drive thru is the worst! Also feels unsafe inside. They seem to always mess up your food order. Don't know why there's 2 TMOBILE stores. Their sales people are awful. Sunway is ok but not to dine in. The whole plaza parking lot seems always full of trash. People drive through it like it's theirs and also park right in front of a store like it's their front door 🚪 house. I can go on about this plaza. But this plaza sits on the SW corner of 6th and Peoria where it's the heart of the Auroras...

The parking seems small and making it difficult to find a parking spot. Then constantly having people beg for money and money only! They don't snacks or drinks they just want cash. When I say no they have have their comments hoping I would change my mind. Stores are having a time trying to stop this behavior and their not having much luck at all, maybe their not even trying which is not right for your paying customers. I'm really considering going to delivery of my groceries because shopping is just so stressful and no longer enjoyable waiting an hour to check out because all I have is cash and only 1 register takes cash being watched because there is so many thieves it's not fun and rather rude. Then you can't even get out without paying triple prices who can do that weekly ? If I got to pay that then that free delivery looks pretty damn good....
