Saw this small shop on Instagram and thought it would be nice to stop in and see what they have. While shopping I found a MEZCO Doom selling for $200. I bought the figure and walked to my car and after being told it was brand new an unopened I opened the box, with nothing like tape or a seal confirming this, to find that the cape had a malfunctioning magnet. This product was sold to me âbrand newâ and had a defect. Pretty unfortunate when you spend 200 dollars and find this. I walked back in and was told that this was a âcommon issueâ. Later getting home with the figure I couldnât find a single post talking about this issue on this figure. I then the next day called asking for a refund and they told me to contact MEZCO to fix the product for me. Only problem is I bought it second hand and do not have an order number. After coming in today and asking them what they can do for helping their customer which was sold a faulty product, they told me they canât offer me a refund and would only buy back this $200 figure for $50 bucks. Iâd also like to point out while making this purchase no one ever TOLD me verbally there were no refunds, usually a common policy to have employees inform a customer about. Not hide it on a 3x4 inch piece of paper hanging on an iPad with scotch tape. Wow. Talk about great customer service and care. The fact a small business who obviously had to downsize would rather lose a customer than just take a product back in the same condition it left blows my mind especially for a small business. Pretty greedy. Not a very practical business model.
Edit: I find it so fascinating how every comment is the same as in: this stores response. Your responses are the only thing littered with lies and fallacies. You are the only one belittling anybody saying multiple customers just so happen to ânot remember their interactionsâ thatâs pretty convenient isnât it? If I could add recordings I would add the voice memo recording I made when going to visit your store :) . But Iâm wrong, and donât know...
Read moreHave too be honest. Donât get me wrong itâs a great collection of toys, but I once brought a collection of my own, and I brought my toys in too sell. They range individually about 15-20 dollars, and I had about 23 items I brought in. I was offered about $25 for everything which was not fair at all. I respectfully declined. I think this store needs too just work on there buying price, but cool collection.
My reply: it seems like you put a lot of feelings towards your response. Feel free too post the video. I donât think you offered me $230 I would have took that in a heart beat. You basically are telling me not too come back for saying you wish me luck at the next collection store. As for you as the owner thatâs not a very professional take. You could have simply just said âwe are sorry for your experience. We will make it better when you come backâ thatâs how you lose customers. Like I said itâs a great collection and I love buying from here. I would understand your response if I reviewed here saying this is a horrible store they will rip you off but I simply said this is a good collection just have too work on the offering price if that makes sense?
Btw I read all the other reviews that have low stars and it seems like the same response you give too others. âMissing piecesâ if you want too post a video of me. I will be making a story of my own, and I will interview others experiences here. Good luck!
I think you got the wrong person then because I was never offered $230 please post the proof
lol so youâre not going too post the supposed video of offering me $230 ? And please let me see that Iâm on the wall of shame itâs such an honor being included with you guys ((:
Still waiting for...
Read moreI already know this will get a passive aggressive response from the owner, but oh well.
You can tell exactly what kind of Toy Store youâre dealing with based solely on how they price their 90âs Star Wars Power of the Force figures. More than $5 for any figure outside of a few (arguable) variants, and thats immediately a dead giveaway the shop isnât âwith itâ. Suffice it to say- that example applies here. The kid at the counter is young, and seems to be really knowledgeable about Marvel Legends⌠but not much else. I brought in a few statues for trade, and he was offering me a price based off the eBay prices of knock offs, rather than official product, which is what mine were. He was nice, but ultimately I think if a shop is going to buy items, they need to be knowledgeable. In this case, that wasnât what he was. And he wasnât really willing to have a discussion about it, so why argue?
Lots of positive reviews for this place, I think itâs mostly a lot of people who are âMonday Morningâ collectors and donât know theyâre getting ripped off. I wish CO had better Mom and Pop toy stores to support, but with All Câs and now this place being a joke, Iâll stick to buying on eBay/Mercari.
Edit after response: I DID NOT bring in broken statues. The owner is lying or confusing me with another customer. They had POTF2 figures with stickers that said $12.99. I hope you all see the âmask offâ reveal from the owner here where he...
