I stopped in for breakfast and ordered the chicken enchiladas ranchero. I had the eggs scrambled and smothered in green chili. I asked for NO onions and no lettuce.. I then ordered 2 breakfast burritos that were supposed to be smothered in green chili, tomatoes and lettuce. I asked for NO onion or lettuce because I'm allergic to onion and most places cut onions and lettuce with the same blade. She repeated my order back to me the same way I gave it to her. I was going to save the burritos for later tonight. When the food arrived , the enchiladas were covered in onions and lettuce. The burritos had 10 tiny pieces of cheese on each one and no tomatoes. I told the waitress , "it's covered in onions". She looked at me and I repeated what I told her earlier , NO onion or lettuce" because I'm allergic to onions. She said that's right. I looked at the breakfast burritos and there were about 3 to 5 pieces of lettuce / onions on top of each burritos. Not knowing for sure what they were , I hurried up and pulled them off. When the enchiladas were returned , it was obvious they the onions were attempted to be pulled off. The plate was not remade and looked poorly upon being presented. I told her , "I could have done that" and she walked away. I pulled the lettuce and about 10 pieces of onions from the plate and gave it to my son. I was only asked if I wanted a refill on my ice tea when my check was given to me. The glass was almost empty before the food arrived. They were not that busy to give better attention to detail. I have been going there since 2018. This is the first time I have had...
Read moreWent to visit family and try some skiing in Colorado. My cousins told us about this place and how good the food is. Being from a Hispanic background and having a mother and a wife who cook excellent Mexican food, not a lot of places impress me. I'm this case I was very surprised. La Costa Mexican restaurant offers truly authentic and delicious Mexican food. Our 1 st days at this location. ( yes we went back for more). I tried the breakfast skillet. It was great. 2 eggs sitting on top of this delicious guizo de carne was very good. We'll cooked and nicely seasoned. 2 Nd day I tried the Mexican and more traditional plate with tamales enchiladas and ( my mouth is watery just remembering the tastes). Yes. It was good. Our last visit I went with camarones a la diabla. Again, we'll cooked, shrimp was fresh and not overcooked which is easy to do with this type of dish, and it had the perfect spice. To drink I went for a Michelada all 3 times since it is my favorite drink. ( beer prepared with clamato and spices). Location was good size and very clean ( including te bathrooms which is a big thing for us since we have 3 small kiddos). Staff was professional, fast and attentive so we left 20% time every time we went. We surely recommend this place.
Ohh. And make sure y'all try te...
Read moreI'm giving this a 2 bc of the service. The food itself was very tasty and reasonably priced. I wasn't expecting the enchilada sauce to be a little spicy but other than, I have no complaints about the food. The service however is a different matter. When I walked in the host asked if I had carry out when I told her no I needed a table she acted like it was a chore to seat me (little eye roll and sigh). My waiter brought me the wrong drink and only checked on me once. He took my glass to refill and never came back. When I did finish my food I sat there with my napkin on my plate ready for the check for almost 10 minutes. I could understand if the place was crowded but there weren't many people there at all. When I asked if I needed to pay him or the girl up front he said he would take it. When he walked away with my card he rolled his eyes. I suggest carry out if you really want to eat here until they hire new servers and a new hostess. I...
