Me and my wife went here for our anniversary slash Valentine's Day getaway. Let me tell you they didn't disappoint at all. We are local, so no where not out of towners. Just to let you know, it's on E Colfax Ave in Aurora. Second, they are located in an area. People say it's a bit sketchy, but in my opinion, it's not. They do keep the front doors locked but not cause of the neighborhood, it's to keep people who aren't staying there out.. Now for the staff. They are very friendly and courteous when you interact with them. We took less than 5 minutes to check in, they explained everything we asked in detail and then some. Made us feel right at home. Now the rooms do match the photos so there are no big surprises there and the rooms were really clean, roomy and the beds were really comfortable. The bathroom was really clean and nice, but the shower pressure was not that great, but it wasn't horrible either, so don't expect the shower to beat you really well. Now for breakfast. The breakfast was pretty good. They had a pretty good selection to choose from, as you can see by my picture of what we got. The pancakes were made by what seemed to be their version of an easy bake oven that spits out two flat pancakes, but other than that, they were pretty good. We did enjoy the hot dry sauna, which, by the way, was amazing. The pool looked good, but when we went to get in. It was way too cold 🥶 to get in. They need to turn up the heat on it. Pool gets a thumbs down from us. Besides the pool being cold, everything else was just awesome. I highly recommend staying here if you're looking for a good hotel and a good location regardless of what others say. I definitely recommend you stay at this hotel on your nectar visit. This is my honest opinion and my experience with this hotel. I do not accept, get paid or given any gifts for my opinion so that way you get my honest opinion and experience with this hotel.

The staff here is pretty amazing. My only issue was that this was the first Holiday Inn Express that did not provide complimentary bottled water for IGH members, water was sold in the 'convenience shop'. When I did mention this, I was offered a bottle, which was nice, but for context, I was there for 11 nights. I just purchased a huge gallon of water from Target and kept refilling the ice bucket. Free breakfast A standard fare at every Holiday Inn Express, and this one was not much different. The breakfast room was well stocked, and the staff was on point with questions, issues, and pretty much anything. And both my coworkers and I commented that the COFFEE in this specific hotel was some of the BEST!!! And, the coffee was always available, all day/night. And, should those pots run out, the staff had another within a few minutes! That was needed greatly since my trip was a working one. Food: there are plenty of fast food or chain restaurant options around the hotel or within a mile or so. But, I strongly recommend continuing up East Colfax on the weekends starting (most) Friday nights and Saturday for the Mexican food trucks that are just up the road by the Walgreens (pictures added of my room view and the food trucks). I will stay here again if I need to return for work, the staff there treats everyone like family, and that means something to me. Why not 5 stars? The lack of the 5th star is a CORPORATE issue I had. An 11-night stay adds to the total amount they place a hold on my credit card which pushed me over the limit of my card. On top of the room rate, the Incidental charge hold caused me major issues. The staff was great, but getting their corporate overlord to waive the $550 "if you trash our room" charge was impossible.

I was so turned off by the other reviews that mentioned the "bad area", but I listened to my friend who visits here every couple months to go the the hospital nearby so we stayed here. I am so happy we did, this hotel is fantastic! Family of 5 we stayed in a suite it was so nice. 2 bathrooms and a pull out couch along with 2 queen beds which were so comfy! Modern decor and everything is new looking and extremely clean and we didn't have any problems with noise upstairs even though there was a loud party going on, on the second floor( we were on 4) and only heard it passing by. Complimentary breakfast in the mornings was different each day and really great selection. The pool was open but super cold, so we only swam once. Staff was very friendly everytime we passed the front desk. I also fixed the printer in the travel office area so it works again. Free coffee and tea anytime of the day was nice too. As for the area the only time I noticed "bad neighborhood" was driving there down Colfax from downtown but around actual hotel I did not notice any unscrupulous characters. It was also nice the front doors are locked. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely stay here again. Only picture I remembered to take at the hotel was our view looking towards the hospital.

I was station at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center and Buckley Airbase is not five minutes away. Let’s try twenty to twenty-five minutes and that depends on your direct and traffic.||2. I arrived on December 24, 2024 for a scheduled medical appointment the following week. On December 25th a note had been slipped under the door saying “no cleaning of rooms.” Nothing posted at the counter upon check in nor did the desk check in say anything on December 24th.||3. Bathtub had a dark ring around it from not being cleaned from the onset. ||4. Room stayed dirty for two days. You have to personally ask for it to be fully cleaned. Nothing is mention on their website about asking to be cleaned. They want you to leave the room during their stated cleaning session which does not occur. ||5. Floor was NEVER cleaned during my entire stay for eight days.||6. Some of the housekeeping employees does understand a ENGLISH WORD. ||7. Called the corporate office and made and a complaint. The housekeeping manager engaged me for an argument and being to say “why did you call corporate I have to answer those complaints.||8. Had an issue with a guess and had to fully explain the racist ruddiness of the Individual. I was told to calm down by the front desk representative. She played the race card game in full view. ||9. If you have small kids or major health issues with your back or legs the beds are too high. As a person being 57 inches the matters reached my lower buttocks standing up.||10. Extremely small towel space while setting down. If you have large legs or bigger size forget it. Don’t forget to close the commode led while flushing because the water will flash up and out.||11. Thin cheap bath towels and clothes. The pillows stinky! The wash clothes are like rubbing your bare hands on your face. They are just that thin. The Dollar General store ones are much thicker.||12. Small trash cans are less than the size of a kid’s soccer ball. ||13. Staff gets offended if you bring issues to their attention. I informed them about cold water for coffee and was told the water had been placed in the pot. Called maintenance about the refrigerator not being cold. He arrived and stated the reason was I had adjusted the temperature to the number seven setting. Any one that’s mechanical inclined knows about PSI and seven is high. He adjusted it to zero almost. ||14. One gust had a dog in the dining area where you eat your food.||15. The breakfast is not for vegetarian. If you are looking for sugar and fat that is the place.||16. Staff are not as friendly as you...
