Los TacoAches — Restaurant in Aurora

Stopped by LosTacos Aches on a morning food mission, and let’s just say, the breakfast burrito had me at “hello”—well, almost.

First off, the size of the burrito was spot-on. Not so big it ruins your day, not so small it leaves you angry at the sun. Just right. The flavor was solid too—comforting, well-balanced, nothing too wild, but definitely not bland. The texture, however, took a bit of a tumble. The eggs and potatoes kind of melted into one another, which made for a bit of a mushy experience. And the bacon? It made a brief cameo, but didn’t really show up like I needed it to—floppy and forgettable, unfortunately.

But let’s talk redemption: the salsa. Now that was a winner—bright, spicy, and unapologetically bold. A definite highlight that brought some needed attitude to the plate.

Overall, I’m giving this spot a solid 3.8 out of 5 (rounding to a generous 4.0). Not perfect, but promising. I’d absolutely come back—next time with a clearer vision and specific asks for crispier bacon and more...

The Al Pastor is perfect. The marinade is balanced between sweet and savory, with evidence of char on the meat, which was moist, and sliced off the trompo. The finely brunoised pineapple is a nice touch. The carne asada has an incredible lime forward marinade which balanced with the cilantro and onions on the meat, which was tender and delicious. The tortillas have the perfect amount of give. The red and green salsas were on point, the guacamole sauce is perfect with both the pastor AND the asada. I mean it's a truck in a parking lot, so the atmosphere is what you bring with you. The guys working the truck are SUPER friendly. Everyone speaks English. The vibes of the truck...

This place is so freaking good. We tried this truck not long after we moved here from Philly and have not experienced Mexican food like this outside of CDMX. The lengua is INSANE!
