i usually go in with prepaid labels since i own a business so i’ve never had any issues until today. I went in delivering a package to my father and my printer wasn’t working so i decided to just go in and ship it with them instead. the guy working asked me if i was ready and i said yes but hadn’t written down the address yet since anytime i’d go in before owning a business they would fill out the information while they let me borrow a pen to write it down. he looked at my package and went “i thought you said you were ready, you’re not ready. you need to write the to and from” i told him yes and that usually while information is being filled out i write the address and he told me no and then proceeded to mansplain how shipping works. He said “no, you need to write where it’s coming from and who it’s going to or we can’t ship it.” confused by this i told him i knew how shipping works and i just needed to borrow a pen. then he proceeded to be rude with me the entire time and when he asked if it was fragile i said yes and he told me it has to have padding in it, mansplained padding and how they ship packages and that if it breaks i need to have padding in jt. why ask then??? It wasn’t just the guy i was with either, the guy that was helping another woman, raised his voice at her because she asked him a question and he was saying “THATS NOT WHAT I ASKED.” Everyone there seems so rude. I’ll never be going...
Read moreHate this location. 10 AM on a Monday and there's a line out the door, one old guy pushing buttons as slow as possible. I'm not over-exaggerating, he uses only one finger pressing one button every 4 - 5 seconds. His WPM has to be at 15.
There's one other old guy that will come to the front every so often to mill around in the back before walking away again, I've only ever seen him ring people up once in the 3 years I've lived in this location and used this post office.
I understand that you hate your job and this is your passive aggressive way at getting back at people, but for gods sake, you get paid well and have bankers holiday so get over it. I'd kill for your job. And a little message to the USPS - Two or some years ago you were complaining about losing money and how you had to raise stamp prices to cover it, well yeah.. keep hiring people like these two worthless guys and you deserve to be put out of business by UPS, FED-EX and any other postal service that pops up.
Either get rid of these guys or put them in a closet where they can sit around all day doing nothing in a...
Read moreThe only good thing i have to say is the carrier is nice. Mail is often delivered to wrong address. Had a packaged delivered by someone that received in error. Package had been ripped pretty good. Not sure if because it was shoved in mail box or opened to see what it was before maybe delivering. They also lost a certified letter (subpeona). There was only 1 person working counter when i went to pick up. She had to call manager up, who when finally showed up acted like i was inconveniencing her by having to help her busy employee. There is even a note to only deliver mail in my name. I often get mail for previous owner (I've been here over a year) which should be being forwarded. Not sure if they are short staffed or just dont pay attention. Sad thing is if delivered to your front porch you are apt to get correct package more then in mailbox. Missing other packages for samples...
