Let me start off by saying...the food here is absolutely DELICIOUS! BUT ......I've been coming here for a couple years and the past couple of visits over the course of a year has been EXTREMELY disappointing. The menu is full of options, but when you call and try to order about 90% of the food on the menu is NOT available. I gave it a few months just thinking I called on a bad day, and it's ALWAYS the same. They have no Chicken Tikka (which is my favorite) and no Lamb (Second favorite). Tonight I called and they only had chicken legs (which are abnormally big so I refuse to eat) and fish. If all they are offering now is Huge chicken legs and fish, or if they downsized... the menu should reflect those changes. They get their customers hopes up high only for a let down. I hope they do better because the food really is that good...Well the food they USED to serve. I've only dined in twice, the decor is not the best but being able to order what the menu shows used to...
Read moreMy family and I went there a good 30 minutes before closing (8:30) and it’s SUPPOSED to be closed at 9pm. We hadn’t eaten anything all day, cause we’re travelling and we were really looking forward to a nice Somalian dinner (my first time). We drove more than 30 minutes only for the worker at the front to tell us (he was like mumbling) “oh no, we close, no food, thirty minutes before closing we stop making food for cleaning up”. He clearly seemed like he didn’t want to take a order. Like seriously? Clearly your closing time is 9pm. Why would you turn down customers? Your doors are open, your google hours say you’re open, why turn away customers. I mean, it’s their loss, they just lost a business for easily a $100. Very disappointed. And then he says “oh you can go next door, they’re open”. And next door was, a cafe! It was dinner time. Bad service. This is why sadly, many Muslims don’t succeed in their restaurant businesses cause they don’t do...
Read moreI’ve never had East African food before but we were looking for some halal food and saw this on the map. The place definitely has a different vibe but one complaint with most restaurants we find (since there are so many kebab places around ) is lack of seasoning. At this restaurant I can easily say it does not suffer from the same problem! The food was amazing! Well seasoned the place, although not as shiny as a new restaurant it had its own charm and the bathrooms were sparkling clean !! The food we ordered was Obama beef rice, lamb leg shank, and chicken schawamra with basmati rice. Everything was great we had a lentil soup that was so tasty and they had a hot sauce that I loved. This will be easily a stop again and again in the future! The prices are also very reasonable I didn’t feel robbed like at some restaurants I felt pretty happy with everything! Thanks again I never had African food before and I will say I do...
