The good: It’s Costco! Most items are in stock however the more popular, the faster sells out Great selection of items Most fresh items are fresh and delicious Most employees are nice and easy to deal with Fresh flower selection is a good choice for that loved one in your life Gas station The bad: Entitled shoppers stand in walkways, talk on their cell while trying to navigate their cart, can never say excuse me! It’s so easy say excuse me and most people will move Drivers in the parking lot drive FAST and risk lives when people are walking in parking lot Gas station is normally busy and long lines spill into parking lot areas Gas station pump needs a card to use, you would think the app and pump could talk to each other 🙄 Most employees are only found at front of the store Most check out personnel ask you to keep majority of groceries in cart, My opinion
Get rid of the belts to create more room and create efficiency This location is small This location is normally always crowded, be patient This location could benefit from reorganization at checkout area or a full time employee to help customers keep moving. Lots of wasted time and space when you check out, be patient The checkout line can stretch all the way back to the refrigerated section which blocks off isles, specially with entitled people that shop here The front of the store could really use a reorganization to help keep customers moving During most busy times, there are no carts at the front of the store be prepared to park and grab a cart at the nearest cart corral and bring it in with you to avoid having to walk back out to the parking lot All in all, I do love this Costco I just have to have patience when I go in due to the unorganized set up, entitled people and the amount of people that are visiting the store each day. Hopefully when the new store opens up in Green Valley Ranch It will lighten the load here. I seriously doubt it but here’s to thinking positive.

Costco is Costco... which is pretty good in itself. I passed by a tabletop grill once and could not stop thinking that I passed up something I needed at a good price. I picked up this NXR grille for $125. Perfect for my very narrow grilling area. The first grill was great!

Poor showing on CostCo’s part on the new packaging on the rotisserie chicken they sell. For a company that states they are all about sustainability on their corporate site, why would they switch to a package option that is a completely non-recyclable plastic bag? The chicken itself seems different too. Needed to be cooked further after I got it home. Was covered in congealed grease and truthfully it just didn’t taste as good as it used to. The big problem for me though is the non-recycling bag. At least before if you washed the excess chicken and oils from the black bottom and clear top it was completely safe to put in your recycling bin. Now you don’t have that option. What a waste!! I used to love the chickens and I would make a special trip to go in and buy usually 2 to 4 per month. Then do extra shopping for my regular needs. I usually spend between $400-500 per month at CostCo and most of that is due to the little chicken getting me in the door first. My purchasing will drop to under $200 now per month, maybe less because I won’t have the desire to go to the storefront for my chicken. Easier to purchase these other items from Amazon. Easier and maybe even a bit cheaper. I try to support local business, even if a big corporate one, because at least it supplied local jobs. But if Kirkland can’t support my community with recyclable packaging, why should I support them with my business? I would have paid an additional $0.50 for the chicken if it kept the old packaging. Possibly even $1.00. Now a loss leader to get you into the store, turns into a total loss, both for CostoCo and myself. Kirkland states that sustainability is one of their pillars for their company objectives, maybe they should actually do what they say they care about!

This was the most deplorable, inhumane experience I have ever been dealt with. Not only did April at the front (where ppl enter in) made me feel less of a person as I simply asked what I do with my cart of already bought & marked through receipts of ground turkey, avocado, cauliflower rice, and broccoli when I reentered for Optical. She also gave out incorrect information as she held my cart hostage there in the entrance as it defrosted my items. She stated when I leave I’d be going through her entrance not the other where they check your receipts. Lo and behold at the end I am not walking through her entrance but the actual exit. Like !??

**30minutes in I request for the cart to be brought closer inside away from the sun. She automatically states loudly (and ppl turn to look at us) no leave it there you can’t bring it in. I state the heat and she said no. I left it at that— I did that only bc a customer at the optical said I could bring it in. I would just need to exit and show my receipt
.

** 50 minutes now of my food in the sun - she sees me looking at her and calls out how much longer, you need a cooler?

Woman I do not know how much longer. Obviously you can see it’s busy since there’s 8ppl here.

I went up to her - they said they would put it in the cooler. Yay.

I need it back —- and I ask them what she told me. And they said no, you’re going through the actual exit.

And this honestly is what puts a really bad taste in my mouth and when you read this you will know. April was not at the entrance, she was talking to a short Asian lady at the exit and seemed like she was waiting for me. I get nearer and she grabs the corner of the cart and pulls it closer to her and she’s looking at what’s in my cart. And the Asian lady is looking up asking for my receipt. Tell me why even show ? I never even got to roll it anywhere — they were the ones that did it. I just rolled it straight down from great members board and recognition down to exit.

I told April simply — this was a bad experience. She smiles and say eyeglasses? I was too flabbergasted. I just said ya, no this and just gestured her way and left.

Costco — I know ppl steal, I know you need to make sure of such things. But honestly customer care, basic respect and clear communication of what to do if a person buys goods then re-enters for vision and just and taking care of your members is ZERO here.

If yall come down to Texas - we for sure will treat yall like family.

08.18.2024 this afternoon I came in here and I will never come...

Honestly I liked it here but in the last months the workers in the entrance checking for memeberships I’ve noticed they are sooo rude! Like I smile and they have rolled their eyes they don’t even welcome you. They just give such a bad vibe Entering the warehouse. This weekend my husband was getting his membership when we got our membership my husband forgot the proof of address. That’s why he was just getting his memebership. Any ways when it was our turn in line the workers was screaming at us next! Next!!! We heard the first time other people just stared! When he asked my husband for his email my husband asked me to type in the email for him. He has bad bad anxiety so most of the time i help him. I don’t even have to explain myself to anyone. The worker LITTERTLY moved the tablet away from my hands when i was typing and said “let him do it” and deleted the few letters I had typed in for my husband and i quickly told him “you have no idea what people are going through or if people have something or a condition going on you are so rude never do that again” he just said “look he can do it” I responded “ you don’t know my husband you don’t know us you have no idea what people are going through” he didn’t apologize nor didn’t even seem to care! My face was red i was very upset. He knew what he did! He clearly heard what my husband said to me. This worker is a male with long curly hair and a beard. The other worker heard what he did was rude just kept stating at us like she wanted to jump in and say something but she didn’t. We left the customer service they were talking about us we were able to hear them. So I said to them they were very unprofesional. We got pizza after our shopping we should of just left after that. But we got pizza and the lady in front giving out the food was yelling at all the workers with such bad disrespect and that’s called verbal abuse. She seemed very stressed out and even was giving the food to people in such rude way to customers! I’m not coming back to this location! They need to train their employees better. All this behavior is so unprofessional they need To respect people! The Greenvalley ranch/ Montbello location is a lot better from start to end. Maybe Havana workers should go see how different it is. Avoid shopping here you will not have a good...

This is my updated Nov 11,2023 review about Aurora Costco’s OUTSTANDING employees and GREAT managers. I received FANTASTIC help so easily this afternoon from DEE, DEREK & JOSH who were working in Costco’s outside back area.

Even though it was an incredibly busy Saturday afternoon today, DEE, DEREK & JOSH immediately stopped their work to drive a forklift over to my area so that some big items could be taken down from a very high shelf for me.

It was a big pleasure meeting very hard working guys like DEE, DEREK and JOSH who are obviously extremely dedicated to helping Costco’s customers.

This afternoon I also really appreciated TITO in the Self Check Out area immediately coming over to scan my big items without my having asked for any help.

I was so happy that COURTNEY — DEE, DEREK, JOSH and TITO’s manager — made it very clear to me that he definitely greatly appreciates his employees excellent work. It was wonderful speaking with COURTNEY who is clearly very supportive and thoughtful of his employees.

I hope Costco customers who read this review will take a few minutes the next time they are in Costco, to thank a Costco manager for the great hard work that Costco employees do every day on their behalf. It is certainly not easy to be on one’s feet all day long working in a very busy Costco store helping people who may be impatient and not well mannered, in my opinion.

A few months ago I noted that Costco’s Pharmacy Dept. is always WONDERFUL and has an OUTSTANDING pharmacist intern Dahlia.

As I have already said, it is very difficult to provide exemplary customer service at this extremely busy and crowded Aurora Costco store, but I’ve consistently received FANTASTIC assistance from Costco employees.

On July 8,2023, MITCHELL at the Customer Service counter and DEREK in the cheese, salmon and frozen prepared foods area were so happy to help me even though Costco was starting to close for the evening.

I also always greatly appreciate SALLY’S terrific help. SALLY is always so friendly, kind and helpful to me and other Costco customers.

Other hard working Costco employees who never hesitate to help me include ERIC and CLAY who is well known for always offering assistance to customers with a big smile on his face. CLAY is a tremendous asset to Costco’s...
