Whispers On Havana — Restaurant in Aurora

I have never given rates at any bars and other services in my life, but here I am forced to share one. I ordered a drink (titos with pine apple) and opened a tap with a bar tender (black lady...it is not to categorize a race, I am black myself, this cause I don't know her name), then I finished my drink and wanted to order another one. The bar tender lady has never come towards me though I was at the bar closest to the tending/servicing one. I waited patiently for at least an hour until she finished talking to others. She never gave an eye. Then another bar tender approached me and asked me if I needed another one, then I told her yes cause I waited forever, but your coworker was not giving a shit at her customers. Then she asked me what I was drinking, I told her. She asked me my name for a tap, I told her she could ask her coworker that opened my tap which she was right there. Then she told me that I needed to tell her my name and info while it was so easy to ask her coworker what the tap was. Then I told her to ask her coworker. She said, no she did not want to ask her rather she wanted me to tell her my name. I told her I already gave my ID and my card and the tap was there and her friend who opened the tap can tell her. Then she took the drink back. Then I told her well close it and give me my receipt and thanks this will be my last. She said not to ever come back. Then I said of course I will definitely never come back at all. They were ignorant, unfriendly, arrogant ones. I also saw the later bar tender was fighting with other customers before me. This was my worst experience to witness ever in bars and other places. Not recommended to any one who wants to try there unless one wants to ruin...

Whispers quickly became my second home. I've been a regular for over a year and was going sometimes 2 or 3 times a week for a while. Every KJ has their own vibe and every night of the week offers something different. All of the employees are amazing to the point that I have found myself almost ready to throw hands for the bouncers about people being disrespectful lol (sorry jay, I know you had it handled). The drinks, are cheap and I promise you get way more than you pay for. Strong as heck but I'm not gunna complain about more booze for less money. I love all of the different vibes that come in and all the different people. I never feel over or under dressed and even the times things get crazy (as any dive bar does) the staff are ON TOP of it. I've made friends with other regulars and employees and even though I'm not in as often whispers is 10/10 my favorite place to be. Also the food is pizza lol stop complaining about food from a place that doesn't have a kitchen. That pizza slaps after a few drinks anyways and they've never had an issue about people ordering food there either which is...

Really disappointed with this bar. We went in for drinks. They had a karaoke DJ which was taken request. I personally went to him (KJ) to add myself to the list when he immediately said someone else is already singing that song. I ordered a couple of drinks waiting for the song to be sung. After waiting for 1 hour and 4 drinks later. NO ONE went on stage with that song. That persons DJ (KJ) should be fired for lying to customers. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this bar! I hope the bar owner reads this as the drinks were good but the karaoke guy turns customers away.
