Person who doesn't speak English well enough to understand my order and question I had is taking orders. The price of the food on the screen said $18.98. I got my $20 ready. The girl delivered my food and said $21.68. I said it's $18.98, she couldn't understand what I was telling her so I asked for a manager. Manager said the screen is broken and it was the previous order and she wasn't going to honor it. I then mentioned (which wasn't even my reason for a manager) that sonic needs to not put employees who do not speak English well enough to communicate an answer back to a question on ordering. And that set her off lol. Later on I told her my family is Spanish speaking (I am Black) and she must not have beleived me because she started speaking to me in Spanish as if I wasn't going to understand her. I did. I asked for her and employees name she told me hers and asked why I needed the employees. It said a name on the screen but that's okay since its on my receipt. I finally told her to just go get my change instead of her arguing with me. As I was waiting for her to come back I was missing condiments that I asked for upon ordering so I pushed the button. The manger came back with my change. I told her about missing condiments and she said push the button and walked away. Another employee answered and brought me condiments. If a person cannot speak English that well or well enough to not be able to answer a question I had about my order (I do not care what language it is) don't put them on the ordering! It's that simple. Or pay for English classes to help your employee become better at English and better employee. You are truly doing a disservice to them buy putting them in these situations. I know U.S. has no official language and we are a melting pot. I love and welcome that and there needs to be some sort or accountability here...
Read moreAfter a long day of traveling we wanted to get some sonic tater tots and jalapeno grilled cheese sandwiches. We decided to use the sonc app as we were heading back from the airport. Did a search and found this location that was supposed to be open until 11 pm per the sonic app. We placed our order at 1030 pm with a pickup at 1040 pm. We paid via the app using a credit card. We pulled into the stall at 1039 pm and entered the stall number into the app. Looked at the screen and it said hello and that our order was in the kitchen being prepared. We waited for about 10 mins with no interaction from the staff there. All of a sudden the lights were turned off. At 1045 pm. My wife gets out and asks to talk to someone. My wife let's them know that we had ordered via the app and had paid and we were waiting to pickup our food. The representative was very short with her and went inside. Came out with the customer service number. We ask for an immediate refund and the representative states they cannot do that since we ordered via the app. We leave and call the sonic number given to us. We waited on hold for about 10 mins and we're greeted by a support representative. We explained the situation, and then were told that we would be refunded in 7 - 10 business days. YOUR KIDDING ROGHT IS WHAT I SAID. it's seems to be a policy that they can't immediately issue you a refund for something you paid for but never got. The main disappointment was that the staff saw is pull up to the stall and didn't say they were closed. Instead they didn't do anything. Read moreIm so frustrated with this sonic. I just spent 15 dollars there and not a single thing was made right. I ordered two junior breakfast burritos without sausage. . . both came with sausage and hardly any egg. I ordered a number 15 super sonic burrito also... There was so much onion on it i choked on my first bite, the sausage was cold, the egg was burnt and there were literally 14 jalapenos on it without hardly any cheese sauce. The tatortots were cold and looked like they were picked up off the floor covered in dirt. I asked for more salsa and the car hop refused to go in and get more. The coca cola was flat and instead of light ice it just came out with no ice. But the carhop was sure to be checking her appearance in the reflections of windows and had no concern about tying her braids up to keep out of the food. No one took my order after sitting at the stall for 14 minutes... Its just not ok to be serving food like this. Last week i got a raw hot dog. I've gotten cold mozzerella cheese sticks more than once. I had to send back drinks to be made properly or just to have my milkshake blended.... Its ridiculous. But this morning i was looking forward to a nice hot breakfast before work. What i got was 15 dollars worth of inedible luke warm food and rude service. I worked as a cook at sonic as a kid and i know what to expect out of my food there... Nothing i ordered is difficult... I don't know if she took my order wrong or if the kitchen doesn't care. I also wasn't given a receipt which makes it impossible to return. Unfortunately I'll be talking to a manager AGAIN. I've NEVER asked for a refund for my food but this is not ok. I will not get another chance to get food...
