The Austin English Tea Company puts together such a fun, traditional, and authentic English tea time experience. Every last detail is considered; the presentation overall was on point! I felt so fancy using the fine china. It was fun! The space is charming with pops of color and cute, eclectic English china tableware along the wall and at place settings. The owner, Sarah, makes everything fresh and uses very traditional recipes. She’s professional, full of energy, greeted us herself, showed us our table and waited on us. You can tell she takes pride in the service and experience. It’s such a quaint locally owned business! This spot is perfect for Mother’s Day tea, daddy daughter tea time, tea birthday parties, small bridal showers, moms day out or a sweet date! The teas were so tasty; we could each try two. It’s loose-leaf tea, brewed freshly. The Coconut Oolong tea was my favorite! It tasted like toasted coconut. I didn’t add cream or sugar, but had the option. I also tried the Red Berries Herbal Tea. It was a raspberry/cherry hibiscus tea. It was perfectly sweet with a tart after tone and paired well with the treats we ate. We also tried the Peach White which was light, refreshing and actually mixed well with the red berry tea As well. And last we tried the Ginger Lime Rooibos tea which was warm and soothing; perfect for after eating while relaxing. Each tea pot had enough for 4 cups of tea inside and we each got two teas, so it was nice to share and try each others to enjoy together. The food was delicious! We received our adorable three tier platter full of 3 types of signature tea sandwiches each such as cucumber, carrot and Turkey, Devonshire scones, macarons, lemon tea bread, raspberries, feta tomato Parmesan frittatas, and a Banoffee pie in a tea cup. The scones were lightly sweet and came with clotted cream and a personal strawberry jam jar! The cucumber sandwhich was light and refreshing and the carrot relish matched with the hummus was wonderful! The frittata was phenomenal; I loved the combos created! The Banoffee pie was to die for! This is a must! Layers of toffee, banana custard and a biscuit on the bottom was like a banana pudding but better! Lastly the macarons were marshmallowy, soft and melted in your mouth! These were the best ones I’ve had in Austin. I had so much fun, I can’t wait to book another tea time!

High tea at its best! A very enjoyable, authentic, and delicious afternoon tea! This is a hidden gem in Austin. This afternoon tea brought me right back to when I lived in London. It is good value for money compared to some of the high teas that I have been to. There is a great selection of teas and Sarah was very helpful with my choices. The service is very attentive and friendly, but not intrusive. The sandwiches, quiches, scones and cakes were sooooo delicious. I loved the quiches, but the scones were so yummy!! I loved the decor and taking photos with the fun, vibrant backgrounds. This is definitely a must experience if you have never been to an afternoon tea. It is great for fun day out with friends, but would be perfect for special occasions like a baby shower or birthday. You can also buy china, tableware, and broken china jewlery! I got a pair of cute earrings! You do have to book in advance because they are very busy. I will definitely be back!

A Truly Magical Sunday Morning! My husband and I are big fans of high tea, and we've experienced it both around Austin and at traditional tea rooms in the UK—so we had high expectations. The Austin Tea Company absolutely delivered, and then some. From the moment we walked in, it felt like we were transported straight to a charming corner of London. The owner herself greeted and seated us, and she couldn’t have been more delightful—warm, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what she does. From what we learned, she grew up in England and now lives in the U.S. with her American husband. Not only does she run the tea room, but she also bakes everything from scratch—and it shows. The interior is beautifully curated, with elegant china, classic tablecloths, and whimsical touches like the adorable elephant-shaped cream and sugar dishes (a personal favorite!). Every detail adds to the vintage British charm. We sampled two teas: English Breakfast and Coconut Oolong. Both were outstanding—the coconut oolong was especially unique, rich, and creamy. Refills are encouraged, and you can switch teas during your visit, which we loved. The food was just as impressive. A traditional tiered tray arrived with a generous assortment: delicate finger sandwiches, fresh-from-the-oven scones (served with proper clotted cream and jam), and a sweet selection of desserts including macarons, fresh fruit skewers, and a homemade bar that tasted like a refined Snickers. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted absolutely divine. From the exceptional hospitality to the thoughtfully crafted menu and enchanting atmosphere, this was a five-star experience through and through. We’re already planning our...

We recently rented tea settings and picked up tea and tea snacks for 17 from Austin English Tea Company for a baby shower, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! From start to finish, the experience was absolutely flawless.

The tea sets were stunning—elegant, timeless pieces that elevated the entire atmosphere of the shower. Guests loved sipping from the beautiful cups and saucers, which gave the celebration such a special, memorable touch. Everything arrived clean, perfectly packaged, and ready to go, making setup effortless.

And the food—oh my goodness, the food! Every bite was incredible. The tiny sandwiches, biscuits, and macarons were high quality, authentic, and absolutely delicious. It felt like a true English tea experience right here in Austin.

The service matched the quality of the product. Communication was warm, professional, and so responsive. They went above and beyond to make sure every detail was just right. It’s rare to find a company that delivers beauty, authenticity, and service at this level, and they exceeded every expectation.

If you’re planning a baby shower, bridal shower, or any gathering where you want to create a charming, elevated experience, Austin English Tea Company is a must. They made our celebration unforgettable, and I will absolutely be using them again for...
