*UPDATE-February 2024-
DON'T GO HERE, THEY ARE RUDE AND UNCARING!!!
This is an updated review for the Burnet Rd., Austin, Tx. location.
Initially, everything was fun, and I even complimented the owner, but that changed after they told me that my dog couldn't come in any longer and I complained to the owner. So, on my next visits, I would come inside, get my order, (since there were CONSTANT issues with the app), then go back and sit in my car in the AC, since it was an EXTREMELY HOT SUMMER, with my dog. Then, they had issues with me going back inside for refills, although I had PAID their EXTREMELY HIGH PRICES that same hour, for their sodas. Jesse stated that they will ONLY allow a paying customer to get refills as long as you stay inside the restaurant after you buy your soda or meal, (but, remember, they made me take my dog outside). Then, on another visit, I went inside, used the restroom, but decided NOT to order anything. The staff on duty that day, although I was a regular customer, and had the security guard approach me while I was sitting in my car and told me that unless I buy something, I can't use the bathroom. I complained about this to the OWNER by phone, but he did NOT care enough about this situation to return my call. The next time I had time to stop by and speak to Jesse about the incident, he stated that he talked to the OWNER, who stated that you can't please everyone all the time, and I could alsocall the company where the security guard works myself and complain about the situation. As I u nderstand it, DQ refused to call and complain about the unprofessional security guard, who argued with me.
I will NEVER go to that DQ again, and encourage others to do the same. They are uncaring business owners!!!

Read moreWent tonight around 10pm and had some pretty bad customer service. Pulled up and was asked what I would like to order. We were not sure on what we wanted. Nice asked to have a minute to decide. Was not even given that amount of time before a voice (of a little girl/teenager) came across the speaker and said "whenever you ate ready". We were at that time coming to a conclusion on what we wanted. Seconds later voice came over again. I'm getting annoyed. Again voice came up before we could finish the words coming out of our mouths. I turned over and said I'm still not ready....voice sniley says oh sorry. We finish our conversation and I say ok I'm ready. I order my bofriends snicker blizzard and she automatically gives me a price. I say I didn't say I was done nor did she ask if that was all. I finish my blizzard order and and I say that is it. I get to window I look at her and she immediately with attitude hands me one of the blizzards. I hand it to my boyfriend and the. Go to grab my purse to pay. I turn and look at her after grabbing my card and handing it to her she has her arms crossed Leaning on the window like im wasting her precious time. Like I said Previously it's 10pm they close at 11pm. Not like we walked in 5min til closing. Then she asks if I wanted a pup cup for our dog, I said yeah sure. She hands me the pup cup. Another employee hands me the other blizzard and my card. These kids need to learn respect and some customer service. You can't handle customers? Your at the wrong job. I I was young and worked at Dairy Queen myself. It's not that hard and get...
Read moreI wouldn't recommend ordering online. Burgers were great, fries were cold (mind you I had to sit for 15 minutes to get my order so it was made "fresh" at 5:45PM). I placed my order an hour before I needed to pick it up and when I showed up they acted as if online orders weren't really a thing they do and made some comment about their tablet. They asked me to tell them what I ordered, I was a little perplexed as I ordered ahead so as to gather all the different requirements and document them so I wouldn't have to memorize the order. Then the fabled tablet appeared and they punched my order in. Dairy Queen should let stores opt out of online ordering if they aren't ready to handle on line orders. I have spent three decades in technology, DQ is doing it wrong if the online orders need to be manually entered in to the stores POS. I'm sure there are many technical reasons for this, I'm just saying it is not how online ordering is supposed to work and based off of my experience at DQ their online ordering...
