Huckleberry — Restaurant in Austin

My friends were out on a chilly night, and we chose to eat at Huckleberry. I thought I was fixated on the seafood meal, but for some reason I gravitated to the smash burger, my friend copied me and ordered the same. We sat down outdoors where the tables were organized well with heaters, which I was very thankful for. When we got our food my friend and I both looked up at each other as we took our first bite and both described how good the burger was. I have to say, one of the best burgers I’ve had in Austin, Good job!!!! I actually didn’t get the seafood plate, because I haven’t really had great seafood here in Austin, being from the coast I used to eat fish twice a week. I have tried pretty much everything on this menu over the past month or so and it has all been amazing. The fries and fried green tomatoes are wonderful. The fish sandwich is delicious. I have been crushing some pimento cheese sandwiches and my girl is all about the fried shrimp atm. I just finished eating a wedge salad and it was super refreshing. Forgot to mention the shrimp rolls. Perfect cool sandwich for a hot day This is the food truck that keeps on giving. I look forward to the weekly specials. Treat yo self.

UPDATE Decided to add an update this review. Huckleberry is still an awesome food truck slinging great food. The menu has gotten some new items recently and the pozole in particular has been my amazing. If you have not stopped by here yet...

This place is amazing, from the food to the employees and owners. They are kind, attentive and respectful. The OG fish sandwich is something that is just so fresh,(they get all fish, shrimp, oysters from the gulf) everything is sustainably sourced and local. The blue crab quesadilla is my favorite, the best quesadilla I’ve ever had. The location at the Far Out Lounge is super ideal too, shows 7 days a week!!!!
