I have been coming to this place since 2017. I have always loved coming here for their good Mexican martinis and delicious enchiladas. I brought my family today to enjoy a few drinks only to have to wait over an hour for our food since our waiter was the only person managing all tables on Father’s Day. He forgot our order so we had to wait over an hour for our food while other large groups of people had their food already even though they arrived after us by 30 minutes. I asked for the manager and he came out only to argue back that it was busy, and the ac doesn’t work, the fans don’t work. He said everyone had to wait 15 minutes for their meal because they had tortilla soups and unlike our order (which were tacos and enchiladas) theirs didn’t take as long. The manager just tried to argue about how everyone has to wait and I told him how we were waiting over an HOUR for our meal and he did not understand. He wanted to just argue with a table full of women. I will not be retuning any longer because the manager does not care about the customer whatsoever. The AC would not work and the fans were not on. Finally they brought out a guy to attempt to fix the fans and change out the AC filters. I would not recommend this place during weekends, holidays or any special occasion events.

As an Austinite, I have come here for years and am not sure what changed, but Def not returning. When we sat down, the first thing our host told us was to sit all at one end of the table with no gaps in between. We only had 3 chairs left over, so did it matter if there was a gap? Some of us like the elbow room to eat, especially if we have kids. Second, we ordered an appetizer some kind of choriqueso that was nothing but grease. Yes, I have in mind that it's greasy, but the picture below speaks for itself. I have had it at other places and look nothing like the picture. Third, normally, for birthday celebrations, they bring out a hard make a commotion reason why we went there and they took out a cake in a cup and put mañanitas on the speakers. It was not packed busy if that's the excuse they want to use. For a $400 tab, the service and food were just not it. Again, this location is horrible. So far Buda has not disappointed. Whoever owns the chain needs to check this place.

Ordered the Jalisco salad. I told the server I cant have any dairy on the salad. It was brought out with a very small sized ranch for dressing. I told her again that I cant have dairy and asked for an alternative. I was told there wasnt one but she would see what she could do. I told her vinegar and oil and some lemons would be fine. She was gone a while and sent someone back with 4 small lemon wedges, not enough for a dinner sized salad. I asked again for the oil and vinegar, I was told she would talk to the kitchen but they were very busy and most likely wouldn't do anything and that was the last thing to happen with trying to get something to put on my salad. No appology or inquiry of if I would prefer something else. I was basically told thats what you're getting and paying for even if its not to your liking. We only had pepper on the table so I asked for some salt. She disappeared for a few minutes and came back with a salt shaker that had definitely been passed around a lot without being cleaned or refilled. It was sticky and had barely any salt in it. I was suprised that would even be set on a table, much less passed from table to table. I cant even imagine how full of germs it was. The salad itself left so much to be desired. It was just some cheap bagged iceberg lettuce with a very stingy serving of presliced tomatoes and onions, a little bit of avocado, sunflower seeds and some precooked shrimp. The shrimp were supposed to be freshly grilled but were almost cold to the touch suggesting that they had been sitting out. The girl with me ordered something off the menu based on the picture. What was brought out was something completely different. The other person with me had a bug in their coffee. I know mothers day is busy for restaurants, but all of that is pretty unacceptable even if you're not picky in my opinion. Wont be going back or reccomending, but they seem busy enough anyways. Great place for trough...

I’ve been in the restaurant industry for about 8-9 years now and I try to always be very understanding when things don’t go all that well when I go out to eat. But for the first time ever I’ve felt there was no excuse for the service me and my friends got today from this place. First of all let me get the good out the way, food was good. Now the not so good; in order to get our alcoholic drinks we need to have food on the table ? The chips and salsa don’t count so we needed to either order our entrees or get an appetizer, which we weren’t really thinking about getting an appetizer. We didn’t ask why but it felt like a cheap tactic to run up the tab ? I’ve never been told “no drinks until you guys order food or appetizers” When it came to paying the server ran the cards for the wrong tab, which I get it, it happens it wasn’t a big deal so we asked the server if she could fix it, running the card twice, the first transaction will be refunded in 2 days, cool. The MANAGER stops by the table and says “do you guys have Venmo or Zelle, y’all could just send each other the difference and it’ll be fixed.” The job of the manager is to make things BETTER, NOT tell the paying customer how to fix it themselves. After they “fixed” the issue, the server comes back with our cards a second time and says “okay guys the manager fixed the tabs and you guys are all good to go.” We are walking to our cards and the manager grabs one of my friends hand and says “you guys didn’t pay” making a scene in front of the restaurant. When we gave the server our cards the second time and she comes back and drops off the receipts and the cards again why didn’t she run them already ? Why take an extra step and waste more of our time ? A truly unpleasant experience, ever going back again. They should really have check presenters or books to put cards in, that...

I am sorry to give this place such low ratings. I have been coming here for years and until now it was really good. I haven't been here for a while and a lot has changed.

First, we were greeted and seated right away. The table seemed pretty clean. The menus were another story. They weren't just a little dirty from use, they were gross. So gross I got out my hand sanitizer from having to touch them. Also, my husband went to the bathroom and said it was a mess. Dirty paper towels all over the counter, just a mess.

The service was slower than normal, but not slow enough to dedicate much time to it. I had the feeling that they may have been understaffed, so I don't want to harp on it since it wasn't anyones fault.

However, the food...that was the biggest disappointment of all. In the past, the food has been really good. I am not sure what happened since then but it is not good, not good at all.

We had "shrimp diablo" for the appetizer. It was fine. It was the first time I have ever had that appetizer with no sauce to dip, so it was fine, just not great. Plain.

We each had a shrimp dish for the entree. I had the enchiladas, my husband had the shrimp chipotle. I was so disappointing. Mostly because the sauce used tasted like canned spaghetti sauce. No taste, no seasoning. I have no idea who is in charge of recipes and ingredients, but, no.

That is all i can say. It was a fairly big bill for a disappointing and forgetable meal.

They have good atmosphere. The group singing was really nice. Guy had a great voice. Highlight of...
