I strongly recommend you don't eat here. You'll probably disregard this review because let's face it, you want the photo op. Get your photo op, maybe buy a drink (overpriced) but move on shortly after.
I came here for dinner with some friends because of how pink and cute it looks. First off, we ordered queso for the table. DO NOT order the queso unless you want a skillet of literal melted cheese (no roux, not liquidy or smooth). They literally just put a chunk of cheese in a skillet and call it "queso". You can't dip your chips in it because it just breaks the chip in half. It's a ball of melted cheese and as soon as it cools off it becomes solid cheese again...enjoy!
The worst part however was the SERVICE. The servers and hosts are rude. I try not to make this assumption about service workers but unfortunately here they truly are bothered by your presence as a paying customer.
We ordered dinner and I ordered a salad. Everyone's food was brought out except for mine. About 40 min later they bring my food out after they didn't come to the table once to check on us and then we requested an update on the salad. The servers were almost avoiding it. I didn't want to make my friends wait on me so by the time they brought out my food, everyone was ready to go.
I declined my food because an unacceptable amount of time had passed. They asked me why? I thought it was apparent the food came out after everyone else in the party was finished eating.
I told the server to remove the salad from my bill and asked if they could give us discounts or good faith mark off the bill for literally forgetting to bring my dinner. The server seemed upset that I asked and didn't respond. Ten minutes later she brought out the manager.
The manager was putting on a good face, telling me that she wasn't going to make me pay for my salad EVEN though I sent it back as it came out 40 min after Everyone else was served. We said sure, that's the least you can do. She looked at us and literally said "what else do you want me to do? Like I already took the salad off what more do you want?" At this point we racked up a 100 dollar dinner and drink bill.
It seems obvious that at most places with decent service they'd offer a discount. She begrudgingly agreed to take 20% off the appetizer. Our whole table almost laughed at how strange the interaction was.
I suppose if you come here, don't expect to be served even though you're paying for service and a gratuity charge. The servers and manager see you as a nuisance and are dumbfounded when you're an unhappy customer who went out to pay for a dinner they never received.
Food is mid as hell too. No one was particularly impressed by the cuisine. Portions are small and expensive. Very oily...
Read moreWent recently and Loved the atmosphere, it was a three hour drive to this area and this one was one of the restaurants I spotted to check out in the city. When pre planning a list I really would like the website to say you have to pay $20+ for parking! No one was outside to help either because the parking signs were worded confusingly and there wasn’t a parking manager out there. I found out once inside that if I don’t move my car I could get a boot on it and it cost over $100 to get it off. My Spouse then had to go find free parking that was supposedly nearby (nothing nearby was open, we could’ve known this before sitting down if it was on the website) and was gone most of our visit just trying to find somewhere to sit. The parking fiasco pretty much ruined my visit, I wish there was more people checking it or if it was written on the front page of the website. The food was okay, my fries were kinda soggy and my bun was burnt (but could’ve been charred on purpose) as it definitely didn’t feel as attractive as the photos but it was alright. The lighting was a lot dimmer than I expected since the pictures are so saturated and pink. I didn’t go at a sunny hour so the lights had to carry the atmosphere and it ended up just making the place feel like it’s really dark inside. Our waitress was nice and attentive but that was the most positive thing I got out of the experience. Nearly getting trapped in Austin 3 hours away from home wasn’t great. Suppose I just caught the place on a bad day, the decor is really cute and the photo op spots outside are adorable. The seating though the tables are really close to eachother is fine and comfy enough. I’m just really glad while sitting inside for 5ish minutes waiting to ask about parking wasn’t enough time for them to boot my car because by the time we found out we had already been there a while. It was scary and ruined dinner thinking if I went outside my car was already locked. Thankfully it wasn’t. Oh and the biggest cherry on top was that it was pouring rain to my spouse had to go find a free spot close by and take a few minutes walk in the rain just to get back and was drenched. REALLY WISH I COULDVE KNOWN...
Read moreI came here for my birthday dinner, with a large party of 15. Hostess very friendly and accommodating. We needed at least 80% of a party to be seated.. they had the table ready within 15 minutes. Our server was very bland, he seemed frustrated as soon as we got seated. When we would ask for waters with ice, because the water he brought to our table what is room temperature, his body language seemed frustrated. Was not friendly at all.. as we waited for the rest of our party to arrive, I told him multiple times we were not ready. We were waiting for them to get here.. he would just walk away and roll his eyes as if he was annoyed! He did give us a notice as soon as we sat down that he would not split the checks. It would all be on one big bill, but he could take separate cards to make the payments. So you must keep track of your own food and drinks. (it literally took us about 20 minutes just to find out who had to pay for work, so definitely would be a lot easier if he’s with the checks by party, gratuity was already included which we expected.)
We placed our order as soon as everyone arrived, food came out within 15 to 25 minutes, our plates were scattered we had to find our own food. Some of the food came out cold, one of our tortas bistek meat was so hard like jerky that we had to send it back. I would rate the food six out of 10. Some of it was tasty, but some of the things could’ve been a lot better. Beans have hotdogs in them which I was not fan of. Shrimp Ceviche was very good a bit spicy. Fajitas were very good as well.
Not all things were bad. Just wish we had a more happy friendly attentive server, we were given the smallest cups of water , so we constantly had to keep asking for more .. which seem to frustrate him. I definitely recommend you coming out with a smaller group or maybe just a couple in order to get the best experience. Appetizers were good. Not your usual, authentic Mexican food more like Tex-Mex.
The vibes in there were pretty cool, they had a great music, definitely a very cool scenery to take pictures. Clean bathrooms. And some pretty...
