DO NOT GO HERE OR AT LEAST BE AWARE OF SCAMS… It is such a shame that this place has such terrible service given that the atmosphere is so incredibly nice… this place had great potential.
First I would like to start off by saying that the blonde/brown haired female bartender has the world’s shittiest attitude and has tried to scam my friends and I twice already by lying about our tabs being closed. She starts off by greeting us with rude and snarky comments (both visits) and then when I told her I wanted a closed tab she says assures me that she closed it but failed to provide me with a receipt to sign. The reason I was already skeptical was because she said the same thing to me last week and I found out that she was lying. I went up to the other female bartender (who was incredibly kind btw) and I was told that my tab was in fact not closed. When the same thing happened this past visit, she had the nerve to lie to our faces yet again until the other bartender told us our tabs weren’t yet closed. After hearing this she tried to save herself by saying the computer wasn’t working. You can’t scam people and treat them so horribly at the same time, it doesn’t work like that. It’s so obvious what you’re trying to do, it’s ugly and it’s embarrassing.
Save yourself the time and energy by avoiding this place. Based on reviews, she’s not the only bartender that does this and/or adds more drinks onto people’s tabs. A lot of the negative reviews have also claimed feeling racist energy from the workers and tbh the only friends of mine that haven’t experienced something similar here have been white so I believe it. Regardless of skin color, beware and make sure you sign that receipt...
Read moreI had an appointment in the area and planned shortly after to meet up with friends at a close by restaurant. I needed to kill an hour before dinner and did a Google search for a nearby bar that had a happy hour. I decided on giving Tweedy's a try. I asked about margaritas on happy hour pricing and was advised by the bartender that it was pretty much just beer and something else that I didn't understand. Despite not being on happy hour I still ordered the large frozen. I took one sip and then told her that I hated to complain but that was just about the worst frozen margarita I've ever had. I don't even think I've ever had a bad frozen in Austin. I asked if she could replace the frozen with a rocks margarita instead and she didn't really answer. She then brought me this tiny little glass of rocks margarita in replacement for the large that I had already paid for. I quizzed her if that was a large rocks and never got a straight answer. Instead just nonsensical noise about I don't know what. Like the margarita, she too was a disappointment. She's not a good communicator or an outgoing happy person like most good bartenders. At this point I was pretty well done with this place and wrote off my wasted $12 on a bad lesson learned. I certainly won't return and can't possibly...
Read moreUnfortunately, this was a horrible experience. In particular, I had an issue with a female bartender working the night shift on Saturday, 5/10/25. My friend had been patiently standing in line, but the bartender seemed to only be serving white patrons. When I politely stepped in to order two drinks—one for myself and one for my friend who had been waiting—she immediately got defensive and started yelling that she was busy.
I calmly explained that my friend had been ignored for a while and that I was simply trying to place an order for both of us. Instead of listening, she gaslighted me, claiming I was yelling, which was absolutely not the case. I’m gay, and I pride myself on clear, respectful communication. I made that known and explained myself calmly, after which she eventually served me.
The entire encounter was completely unnecessary and, honestly, traumatic. It was a celebratory night—a graduation crowd—where everyone just wanted to have a good time. I understand the stress of a busy shift, but treating customers with attitude and bias isn’t acceptable. If this continues, it could really...
