I urge anybody who is thinking of going here to buy video games to please look elsewhere. For one, they sell repros. Now personally, I don't mind if game stores sell repros. As long as they are clearly labeled as being fake, and are sold for a cheap price. This store does not do either of those things. Instead what they do is sell repos for as much as legit counterparts. The kicker is that the people working there are fully aware of which games are fake and real, but don't seem to care to let any customers know or at least label the faked games in some way.
Luckily I'm somewhat experienced at spotting fake games. Unfortunately I bought a game there that was a repro. I didn't realize it was fake until I was in my car looking at it. So I went back in to tell them, all the while trying to give them the benefit of the doubt because I know people make mistakes sometimes. But when I talked to a worker there, he already knew it was a fake. But they did have two other copies of the same game, so they let me swap it out for a real one. I would give them credit for that, but since they were already aware they were selling repros, I can't even give them that.
Secondly, everything in the store is wildly overpriced. I've seen other reviews saying that GameStop has better prices, and they're 100% right. Thirdly, the store is just very unorganized. Most games don't have labeled prices, and when you ask them what something is going for they look it up online (I'm assuming they look at eBay prices). Plus a lot of the games are on the wall behind the register, so you can't even get a good like at them.
In my four years of collecting video games, I have never had a bad experience at a video game...
Read moreI wish I could be putting in a good review right now, because I love writing good reviews but unfortunately I had problems all week with this store. I've been in search for a gameboy color for my son. Earlier this week on Sunday I called and asked if they would have any available. They told me they would have multiple in that next morning. I called the next day and they said they weren't in yet and that they would keep me updated. I called yesterday and they said they were still not in and to call back the next day. I called today and they told me that they had received one and that they had not checked yet to see if it works and to call back in at least an hour. Keep in mind that I am on a time crunch with getting this game as I leave for Portland tomorrow at 4AM and need this for my son to keep him happy while he stays with his Aunt during the week. I call back 2 hours later for them to tell me now that the game does not work and that they wont have it ready for quite sometime. They wasted my time for days, as I waited instead of purchasing it from another store, and now I may not even be able to get one at all because of the time crunch. Had they been more transparent about the situation I might not be upset. So if you are looking for things that are already in their store than I am sure its fine, but if you are wanting to purchase something from them that is not there yet, be wary, they will give you...
Read moreI have mixed feelings about Resurrected Games. When the Xbox One was released, they sold me one when i couldn't find it anywhere for a reasonable price. That's a plus. This place is popular with Yu-Gi-Oh players and is one of the few places in town i know of that does tournaments for the game. The store itself feels a little small, wish they had some more store space for tables and such.
I play alot of Magic: the Gathering and i have been to alot of stores around town to check them out. They keep their good cards in binders, and others into boxes where you need to search though them if you are looking for something else. They have a decent selection of cards and boosters.
The reason i gave it a 3 star was because of this one sketchy moment. While I was browsing though their cards, I saw they were selling a gold bordered City of Traitors for the price of a normal one (Gold bordered cards are not tournament legal and are only used to "proxy" cards in casual games). I informed the person working there that the card was way overpriced due to the fact its not "real". The person told me that a co-worker bought the card for the buy price of a real one, so he had to sell it at the price of a real one to not lose money. They were knowingly trying to sell a fake card for the price of a real one. The store staff could of changed since then, but that experience made me loose trust...
