Updated Review: It is a bit harder to locate this bakery since it is behind another establishment in a backyard. I pulled up to the crystal shop looking for Zucchini Kill and walked inside not knowing if I was at the right spot or not. The crystal shop was cool and had chill people working inside. They quickly knew by looking at me that I was looking for how to the bakery. I was directed to exit out the back door and was told to look for clues to find my ultimate destination.

Upon walking inside, I was greeted with a glass case of sweets galore. I've ordered from here before but wanted to try the cookies and Swiss roll. The restaurant had punny names for most of the desserts to match the general name. They are different from other places since they mix other flavors to create a unique flavor profile. I used to order from here during the holidays when I was in the area. All the sweets are deliciously yummy.

The staff is nice, but more reserved and give off this grunge punk vibe. I liked the selection, however, this is by far the most unaffordable bakery I've been to. The prices are a bit steep for the portion size of what you get. I'm all for supporting local vegan businesses, however, I don't frequent it as much because of that.

You definitely gotta be a rich Austinite to continue to shop here.

Old Review: I love this bakery, but it's very expensive. Sweets shouldn't be that pricey. I don't come here as often as I would like because of that. The rolls are delicious and I can eat that daily if sweets didn't make you fat. These are some...

Zucchini Kill is the best bakery on earth and in ATX. I never skip it when I visit Austin and I never leave back home without going one last time. The cupcakes, donuts, cakes, and literally everything on the menu is so good! I finally got to go to their new location next to Tweedy's bar and it was awesome. You can't go wrong with either location. Everything is so amazingly good it's a literal blessing to my taste buds. The staff is always so friendly and always make great conversation. So if you need a sugar fix you don't even need to think about going anywhere else except Zucchini when you're in Austin. I've been vegan for a while now and I have tried almost every vegan dessert place in ATX. I always go back to Zucchini Kill b/c literally nothing compares in my opinion. Plus you can live out your goth girl dreams because their theme is so freakin cute and you can browse through merch, vinyl, stickers, and pins. Who doesn't love that?! Love you Zucchini K please never change or...

This review is long overdue, but an unexpected and long illness delayed this much deserved glowing review for an incredible business that truly went above and beyond to make a little boy's birthday special. When Door Dash dropped the ball in a major way, the owners stepped up when they didn't have to and made it right and really showed what incredible customer service is all about. I was so blown away and have recommended them to so many people now. Not to mention the desserts were out of this world delicious and made our whole family delighted. My son had a birthday treat beyond his usual because of food allergies and he was so excited by the amazing spread of yummy things he could pick from. I can't speak higher of the business, the customer service, and the amazing products this bakery makes. They have a customer for life and I will use them for everything I need when I am in Austin and I will recommend them to everyone I know! This business is top notch...

We ordered a large strawberry cake from Zucchini Kill for our wedding. Everyone was blown away with how delicious it was! Strawberry is my favorite cake flavor, and I've made it myself a couple of times. It's amazing, though no surprise, that Zucchini Kill uses real strawberry puree in their cake recipe. This is a lot more difficult and much rarer than using artificial strawberry flavoring, and the flavor from the real strawberries is beautiful. The strawberry frosting was so pretty, matched perfectly, and the decorating was adorable! Pickup was super easy, and the cake was packaged very carefully, complete with a card with storage instructions. Everything was delicious and I'm so happy, thank you <3

I ordered a custom cake back in July for a celebration my partner and I had planned for yesterday and we were so excited and happy to finally pick it up. We were anticipating seeing the final product and getting to eat it for months and we were not disappointed! The custom order process was easy and every employee we interacted with was really kind and accommodating to our very specific requests. When we picked it up from the store my partner was so happy they were giddy. The cake turned out beautiful and was so yummy. Sometimes it can be hard to find Vegan, LGBTQ+ friendly businesses and I feel so lucky we have one nearby. Thank you so much for helping make this day so special and fun!!

I ordered a custom cake for my 30th birthday party. Not only did the cake turn out exactly how I wanted, but I was SOO delicious! My cake was s’mores flavored, and honestly tasted to me like a snickerdoodle cookie which is great because that is my favorite kind of cookie! Everyone kept commenting on how good the cake was and they didn’t even know it was gluten free and vegan!! It can be so hard to find good tasting and allergen-friendly baked goods, but now Zucchini Kills will be my go to spot for any future cake needs! The bakery store front was a little tricky to find, it is tucked around the corner on the back side of Yarrow & Sage.
