Frenchy's Irish Pub & Grill — Restaurant in Austintown

We drove 30 minutes to get here because their menu and pictures showed fish and chips along with their corned beef sandwich, which looked amazing in the pictures. Guess what, no fish and chips on menu now. And, it was the absolute worst corned beef sandwich ever. It was literally like rubber and so tough you could barely chew through it. Seriously Awful! My brother said, if this was the first time he tried corned beef, and that is what it tasted like as well as the texture, he'd never eat it again.

Service was slow, they weren't that busy, and there were numerous people behind the bar. She never came back to get my beer order when I asked to try a sample. On top of that, they tried to overcharge us for stuff we didn't order and didn't make sense to add. We had corned beef sandwiches and were charged for +add bacon and cheese. I agree with previous reviews. Food is mediocre, and some dishes are pathetic, at best! It’s a dive bar if you want the truth. The beer battered fish is ALL batter! little fish, (probably farm-raised garbage) soaked in old re-re-re-fried oil. A short word about the staff. They seemed nice but out of all the servers, two stood out running non-stop full of smiles. The rest seemed like they didn’t know what they were doing, and the one bartender was rude and all over the place. My humble two cents, new management could turn this place around 180°. All in all not a great place and perhaps not even a very good one, but also not terrible. If ur looking for a dive bar with food that will turn ur stomach and ok music, then this is ur place. Oh!! Please seat yourself. We did. And waited. Waited about 15 minutes in a nearly empty bar and was getting up to walk out when the waiter acknowledged us for drinks. Maybe he didn't see us because it was so very dark inside and the music was so loud. You would think it was a Sat night right? No just a normal weekday at 1 o'clock at this joint lol. The girl behind the bar working had all of her kids there. I assume they were hers she was carrying one around on her hip and serving drinks.
