The service at this location is the EFFing dispicable. The last time the waiter pushed us out saying that at 90 mins the bill is open for to long and we had to pay per the manager. He then proceeded to give us business cards to another restaurant. I spoke with the manager afterwards and said he never sent the waiter over to collect, waiter was at end of shift and wanted a tip. The owner remembered us because our friend had a Tanaka jersey on amd people kept coming shaking his hamd simce it was the playoffs and the Yankees were playing that night and Tanaka was on the mound. Thats was in October. Today, the waitrss just was not listening and brought out what she felt lile bringing us. My brother got there first amd ordered happy hour wings , she comes out with an order if wings, he doesnt say anything. I get there and order a small salad with mozz amd dressing on the side. I ask if i can swith some lettuce for some arugula. She said sure no problem. She brings out a large salad drowned in dressing. I tell her thats not what i ordered. Dont worry you'll be charged for a small. I am thinking, how about bring me what i ordered, i am not here to negotiate what you feel to bring me. Again i dont say anything and she never brings my side of cheese. Then to add insult to injury, she comes by as we are takimg a breather and takes my sister in laws plate and puts it on mine. I still had bread i was eating. When its time to pay the bill, i am charged 60% more for my salad, essentially billing me for the large one because swapping out arugula is a plus $4 charge that she never mentioned. This place is a total example of the patients running the asylum. The incompetence and disregard from the staff is sickening. You get better service at McDonalds. This place ia trash and only survives because the sheer overpopulation in Adventura. P.s. can someone clean the tables with clean cloths...
Read moreDriving along Biscayne Blvd., I decided to have lunch at Anthony's Coal Fire Pizza. The restaurant is large with plenty of outdoor/indoor seating, as well as seating by the bar. It has the look of a trendy pizzeria with a feel of family comfort. I was nicely greeted by a female employee who allowed me to sit anywhere since it wasn't that busy. By checking out their website, I already knew what I wanted to eat; I ordered the coal roasted chicken wings (5 piece) and a small Philly cheesesteak pizza. Then I quickly looked at their drink menu and asked for a sangria, which was my first time trying.
Their menu is small with a variety of foods to choose from such as:
Traditional & specialty pizzas Coal roasted chicken wings Homemade meatballs Soup & salads Italian soul food Coal oven sandwiches & calzone Desserts Lunch specials Cold beverages Full bar - beer, wine, cocktails
First to arrive was the sangria. Was lightly sweet and refreshing...definitely enjoyable. Next came the coal roasted chicken wings. Two thumbs waaaay up! The wings were very tender and lightly seasoned. It was served with caramelized onions and soft, warm slices of focaccia. Last but not least, came the small Philly cheesesteak pizza. The flavors of the cheese, thinly slices of steak, and onions complemented each other nicely. Came in with an empty stomach and I'm leaving out stuffed & satisfied. Can't wait to return and try their...
Read moreBest Hawaiian Pizza we've ever experienced, by far!
My wife and I moved to the area from California in February after the wildfires, and we had been searching for an Italian restaurant to replace the authenticity to which we were accustomed at our local place there. We sampled a vast majority of the local options here in Aventura, but this place has three standout items on their menu that have made it our new favorite Italian restaurant: the Italian Garden Salad, the Sausage and Peppers, and the Pasta Fagioli. Just, wow! If you haven't tried them, treat yourself. Very authentic and deep in flavor.
Today, however, we saw that they added a Hawaiian Pizza to their menu. Well, Hawaiian Pizza with a twist, that is. Feeling adventurous, we ordered it. We've both had our fair share of traditional, if you can even call it that, Hawaiian Pizza over the years, but this one is on an entirely different level. Elevated with prosciutto, fresh garlic, juicy pineapple, and some mad scientist's rendition of sweet chili sauce, this Hawaiian is absolutely profound! It doesn't taste like a pizza- this is something else...just in the shape of a pizza. I don't know. You have to experience it to understand.
I pray this isn't a temporary item on the menu, because this pizza changed the way we perceive pizza altogether. Bravo to the team! We will DEFINITELY be ordering it again.
PS; we...
