Food was fine, service was TERRIBLE. We ordered the Shawarma plate, a Schnitzel plate, and the Escobar pita. All plate dishes suppose to come with 12 salads, fries/sweet potatoes fries/rice, and pita/baguette/laffa. Good: Plenty of food for the right price. Shawarma was good, Escobar was fine, and Schnitzel was great. All food tasted fresh. Huge plus is that this place does NOT charge the stupid 20% service tax. Bad: Service was terrible. We got our order in, waitress seemed not interested at all in working there. We asked for extra plates like 3 times, and nothing. The Shawarma arrived like 10 minutes before everything else and was basically shared by everyone that when the other food arrived we were all too full to eat it. The 12 salads did not arrive for both plate dishes as indicated, and the waitress decided that instead of bringing us 2 baguettes she brought 1 baguette and 1 pita, just cause that's what she felt like, just weird. After awhile we asked for the baguette again and she said "oh, you still want a baguette?" and brought us one.
The place was very dirty (floors, tables).
Bottom line: Was not planning to go again until service improves, but I want to support restaurants that do not have the stupid service tax so I will try it again. Hopefully, the service will...
Read moreWe drove out of our neighborhood to try this kosher restaurant for the first time due to the positive reviews.
We ordered a child's meal (chicken nuggets and fries), turkey shwarma and falafel with beverages to go around.
The shwarma was great. The chicken nuggets were hard, and the ten-year-old would not eat them.
My falafel balls were raw inside. Green ooze. I waited a long while for it only to throw it away.
Before I left, I ordered another beverage and while waiting, I spoke to the cashier casually. I told her that my falafel sandwich had all been raw inside. I said that I didn't want my money back (I'd paid earlier when ordering). She laughed at me. I was surprised by her response and told her that it was true and in fact that that the child's chicken nuggets were hard.
She went and got the cook (I did not ask her to get a manager). He came up front with a young line person and was rude in both Hebrew and English...as he asked me to tell the story to him. The cashier laughed again as the cook was explaining how fresh the nuggets were.
The cook did not address the raw falafel. Instead, he asked to see the nuggets and took one from the basket and ate a bite of it.
I have a stomach ache from the raw falafel and spent $ 75.00 for the...
Read moreBaguette Nir is hands down one of the best Israeli spots in Aventura. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warm and casual atmosphere that makes you instantly comfortable. It’s the kind of place where the food speaks for itself — fresh, flavorful, and authentic.
The schnitzel is absolutely fantastic — perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavor. It’s exactly how schnitzel should be done, and it quickly became one of my go-to orders. The shawarma is another highlight, packed with seasoning and cooked to perfection, with that classic taste that reminds you of being in Israel. And the lamb dishes are just as good, tender and bursting with flavor in every bite.
What I love most about Baguette Nir is that no matter what you order, the portions are generous, the food is always fresh, and you can tell they put care into making each dish. It’s rare to find a spot that nails multiple dishes so well, but they’ve definitely done it.
Whether you’re stopping in for a quick bite or sitting down with friends and family, this place delivers an amazing dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to anyone in the area looking for authentic...
