Tacos & Cantina La Potranca: A Flavor Fiesta! Stepping into Tacos & Cantina La Potranca is like discovering a hidden gem, and our recent visit only solidified its place as a must-try for authentic Mexican flavors. From the vibrant atmosphere to the incredible dishes, every aspect of our meal was a delightful experience.
We started, of course, with the Birria Tacos, and they were nothing short of scrumptious. The tender, slow-cooked birria meat, infused with rich, flavorful spices, was perfectly complemented by the crispy tortillas and a side of savory consommé for dipping. Each bite was an explosion of deeply satisfying, complex flavors – a true testament to the kitchen's dedication. These were truly delicious.
Next up was the Burrito, which proved to be a hearty and perfectly constructed masterpiece. Packed with a generous filling of well-seasoned ingredients, it was a substantial and incredibly satisfying meal in itself. The balance of textures and flavorful elements inside was spot on, making it a standout choice for anyone craving a classic done right.
And for the grand finale, the Pie de Limón (lime pie) was the perfect sweet ending. Its bright, zesty lime filling offered a refreshing contrast to the savory main courses, cutting through with a delightful tanginess. The texture of the filling was wonderfully smooth and almost velvety, while the crust was delightfully crumbly. This was indeed a very yummy dessert.
The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. Tacos & Cantina La Potranca delivers not just a meal, but a genuine taste of Mexico, making it an easy recommendation for anyone seeking delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. We're already planning our next visit to explore more of their...
Read moreNo, just no. Five star reviews must be friends of owner and fake. Small portions, no shrimp or fish options, flavorless salsa in squirt bottles, unchopped iceberg lettuce in burritos and bowls, bowls are a joke, vegetarian options are lacking (no fajita style veggie or alt meat options), surprisingly uncomfortable bench seating where you can feel a metal bar running through them. Will not be going back and would be surprised if it stayed in business passed next month with so many better options within a 10-minute drive. The food overall was one half-hearted step above Taco Bell. I have seen Mexican places come and go in my 15 years in Aventura and this is by far the worst, has no chance of surviving. I should have known when I was the only customer in the place. If you were looking for a good alternative, check out Al Chile or talkin' tacos, both of them blow...

Don’t miss the signature cocktails: the Spicy Maracuyá Margarita and the Cantaritos are a must. We love it !! 😍
