A Culinary Journey to Italy at Eataly Aventura
– A Truly Five-Star Experience from the moment you step into Eataly at Aventura Mall, you’re transported to the heart of Italy, where vibrant flavors, impeccable culinary craftsmanship, and warm hospitality converge to create an unforgettable dining experience. This Italian marketplace and restaurant, which opened its doors on June, 2025, is nothing short of a culinary masterpiece, seamlessly blending authentic Italian cuisine with the vibrant energy of South Florida. Today's visit to La Pizza & La Pasta, one of Eataly’s signature restaurants, was a delight from start to finish culinary experience, elevated by the exceptional service of manager Denis and our stellar server, Victor. Nestled on the third level near Nordstrom, Eataly Aventura is a feast for the senses. The space is a visual love letter to Italian culture, with custom finishes sourced from Italy, colorful murals by a local artist, and the intoxicating aroma of freshly baked focaccia and hand-rolled pasta. The atmosphere feels like a bustling Italian mercato, yet it’s infused with an Aventura flair that makes it uniquely inviting. La Pizza & La Pasta, offers a menu that celebrates Italy’s culinary diversity, from Neapolitan-style pizzas to artisanal pastas showcasing regional recipes.
Our evening began with a warm welcome from Denis, the manager, whose passion for Eataly’s mission to deliver an authentic Italian experience was visible. Denis’s attentiveness set the tone for the evening, as he personally ensured that I and every guest felt like they were dining in a Tuscan trattoria. His knowledge of the menu including their exceptional signature dish, Pasta Bolognese made me feel like I was back in Italy where I lived for several years. Denis checked in throughout my delicious meal, offering recommendations including the melt in your mouth Tira Misu.
Our server, Victor, was a star of the evening. His warmth, professionalism, and infectious energy transformed our meal into an exceptional experience. Victor guided us through the menu with expert suggestions, ensuring we sampled a range of dishes that highlighted the best of Eataly’s offerings. His knowledge of the wine list was particularly impressive. I decided to pair the meal with a Pinot Grigio versus the red vino Victor suggested. Victor’s attention to detail— offering to refill our glass before I even noticed was low and pacing the courses flawlessly—made me feel like an honored guest in his own home. The food itself was a divine culinary revelation. I started with a Caprese salad, featuring creamy, house-made mozzarella that melted in the mouth, paired with vibrant heirloom tomatoes and a drizzle of fragrant extra virgin olive oil from Eataly’s marketplace. The artisanal spaghetti, which I understand is made fresh daily was perfect.
Denis recommended the tiramisu, a generous portion of espresso-soaked savoiardi layered with luscious mascarpone, served in a shareable portion was as beautiful as it was delicious.
Honestly, Eataly Aventura is more than a restaurant—it’s a destination that invites you, friends and family to eat, shop, and learn, all while immersing yourself in the soul of Italian cuisine. The marketplace, with its shelves of imported olive oils, bronze-extruded pastas, and rare wines, is a home cook’s dream.
What truly sets this experience apart is the people. Denis’s hosting leadership and Victor’s outstanding service made our visit feel personal, warm, and utterly memorable.Whether you’re a foodie seeking authentic Italian flavors or simply looking for a vibrant, welcoming spot to gather with friends, Eataly Aventura delivers on every front. We left with a full heart, and a content full stomach. Grazie mille, Denis and Victor, for making our first visit to Eataly Aventura an experience I’ll be raving about for years to come. Five stars, without a doubt. Worth a trip individually, and with friends and family.

Read moreMy 3 kids and I came to Eataly on Sunday 6/22 around 3 pm we were so excited. We could not go on Father's Day due to reservations being booked until the Sunday we went. I'll get to the point, this place is extremely overrated, overcrowded, employees are overwhelmed and have no direction. Once we arrived we were immediately lost I thought we were going to miss our reservation. luckily we did get some guidance and one of the hostess pointed us in the right direction. Started walking towards the area we were pointed to, however it was so overcrowded that once again we didn't really know where to go since we're trying to avoid the crowds & weaving in & out of people and isles it was a bit difficult and frustrating. Finally once we got to the restaurant area the wait time was not bad, so as we waited we observed how extremely busy this place is, it was a mad house where people everywhere were lost, confused, etc, (can't stress this enough). Once they sat us down again we were so excited to eat, enjoy, have fun, & experience Eataly. The hostess gave us the menu and stated our server will be with us shortly (not the case) but considering how busy it was we understood. no problem it gave us some time to review the menu (the atmosphere was strange). once our server (I won't state his name) came to our table. He helped with the menu and made his suggestions my two youngest ordered kids pizzas and eldest ordered seafood pasta, I ordered pasta with ground beef lol that is pretty much what it was but with a fancy name and lastly we ordered a Brochette Siciliana as an app, The APP was a small portion so my two eldest ate the two pieces of bread (one each) our server did say portion would be for one person (understood but too pricey, not understood). pizzas came out first the two youngest wanted to wait for my eldest and my order to come out but that never happened I told my two youngest to eat theirs. The pizza was pretty good and tasty but our food never came out we waited and waited for a while. The server never came to our table this was so upsetting 3 tables were served completely and still no server around. The 4th table was about to finish as well. One server across from us was just standing behind us doing nothing I guess observing not sure but couldn't get his attention. We saw our server but couldn't get his attention we had to get another server's attention (female server just happened to be walking by) to get ours and even then he did not come saw same female server again asked if she spoke to our server but at this point I was so upset I asked for a manager. While we waited I took my daughter to the restroom which was another bad experience once again too busy and even the cleaning person had to wait. People were asking if there was only one restroom per person and why. The cleaning person stated yes only one, stated there are other restrooms but it is on the other side (not cool for cleaning person and guests) the cleaning person was clearly overwhelmed and frustrated. Back at our table finally the manager came with the server which was a bit weird anyways I explained my disappointment and asked for the check so I can pay for my kids meal and go the manager apologized for the inconvenience, server really didn't have much to say only that he asked the kitchen and that it was getting prepared. WHAT! The manager also seemed overwhelmed not serene and then asked if we could wait for the food for a few more minutes and he will comp the food for us WHAT!! I was ready to just walk out The manager stated he will check on the food this whole experience is bad my eldest was hungry and the other two were tired I was hungry. We decided to stay since so much big talk was going on about this place, so food came out my eldest was okay with her seafood pasta just to much muscles ( at this point seemed they were just putting stuff on the plate), my pasta not so good and to plain, pasta itself was good, ground beef was not. Once we finished and paid the walk out was AGAIN painful too...
Read moreDisappointing doesn’t even qualify, for a new restaurant it didn’t even meet the already low expectations (knowing that it takes time to train staff and form a synergistic flow). I have eaten at and been to other locations in New York (union square/financial district) and had good experiences. Our group of 7 people were seated late for reservation, we were early for. We humored through the wait and were seated, the waiter started off to be collected; everyone announced their billing preference forehand(3, 2, 2 separate) we ordered entrees and some varieties of bread. The food eventually arrived, subpar (1 pizza, 3 lasagnas[should have been 4 but one of which did not get brought out, our friend addressed this with the waiter; he did not bother to confirm everyone had received their food; the waiter said he would get one but our friend declined because he didn’t want the group to wait to eat], a salad[insalata di rocola: $19 for a very very basic arugula salad], and a bowl of pasta that seemed decent.
Nobody was impressed with the lasagna, agreed upon as “dry”
We joked throughout our time there not even regarding the descending quality of eataly’s aventura restaurant, I’m finding fun in writing this because I don’t write reviews.. that’s how bad I felt about this waste of money, the only saving grace were the people sharing the table.
One of our friends expresses his distaste for the lasagna to a manager who checked on the table and was comped for it, and requested a bolognese to replace it.
Food eaten, we talked about dessert and came to the conclusion that we would get it in the grocery section so we could end the time in the restaurant. (We were somewhat surprised by a tiramisu given to our friends who had the lasagna comped as a good gesture) We requested the check @ 9:45. immediately after seeing the waiter start to try to do the checks, we realized he did not organize them correctly even though having requested our checks separate at the beginning of our meal. After about 15 minutes I addressed this with another manager to see if our waiter needed assistance he said he would see about it and came back and said it would be out shortly then another 10 minutes went by.. still no bill, or waiter for that matter. I went and talked to another manager and as I did the waiter showed up to the table so I walked back to pay with my group upon handing my card to the waiter he took it and walked away with it even though he had a mobile card device.. another 5 minutes or so passed in which we tried to address another manager to figure out the waiter and my card went.. she did not have an answer and did not come back to confirm, waiter finally got back and explained there was an issue with the machine. I had little to no patience left at this point. I work in the industrial field as a mobile marine technician and have early mornings and was ready to leave the restaurant, expressing multiple times to the staff who did not show much care towards our wanting to pay and leave. I did not tip, do not plan on going back to the restaurant. My bill was $128 for mediocre food(minus the tiramisu) for me a and another person.
Just needed to vent because that was just bullshit, thanks for reading and hopefully if anyone decides to go, hopefully you receive a better experience than my...
