The Salty Donut — Restaurant in Aventura

The doughnuts at this location are delivered from the Wynwood location. Came an hour after opening and they didn't have any, estimated another hour for them to get them. We drove 40 min & no customer retention attempt or compensation for inconvenience.

There's no seating inside so it's more of a closed air conditioned kiosk to grab n go.

Ordered 3 drinks : peach lemonade, maple cold brew and cappuccino. Apparently the peach lemonade is made in house but it tastes very artificial and definitely not freshly squeezed lemonade. Cappuccino tasted burnt and the cold brew was muddy and watery tasting and didn't really have any flavour. Don't recommend any of those drinks.

The doughnuts themselves were good and tastes fresh, the brioche base is delicious but some toppings could use improvement like the peach cobbler you can't really taste the peach & tres leches just tasted like a donut with whipped cream on top. Meringue topping didn't really taste like it.

I would recommend the guava cheese, Samoan, mixed berry, and brown butter and salt. They packed the most flavour and are worth the calories lol.

Staff were nice

Half a dozen donuts and 3 drinks came to about 41$.

If I'm in the area I'd grab one but wouldn't make the drive...

Let me tell you why Salty Donut in Aventura is going to go out of business. They will go out of business because the people they have working for them are complete morons. I was so looking forward to popping in and purchasing some glazed donuts but was told they were sold out. Meanwhile, the case is full of all the other full flavored donuts no one wants. If you know what your best seller is, why don't you have it to sell? I then saw 4 glazed donut holes sitting in the case. When I asked to purchase those I was told they are only sold in sets of 6. Why don't they make them in sets of 6 if that is the only way they can sell them? When I asked to pay for 6 even though he only had 4 to sell, the dismissive employee behind the counter told me he's not allowed to sell them unless he has 6 and basically looked like he hoped I would leave. I have never heard of such stupidity in my life, but one thing I can tell you is that I will NEVER be back. There is too much competition in South Florida to put up with...

I stopped for gourmet donuts on a sunny Sunday afternoon. I went specifically for the glazed donuts holes. However, due to the popularity of this item, they were sold out. And enter the staff with a wonderful recommendation. After less than six minutes in this clean established, tucked among the restaurants on the south side of Aventura mall, I found myself leaving with a half dozen box, that is 2 cookie monster, brown butter, maple bacon, Nutella, and traditional glaze. Oh, and for good pleasure, one traditional glaze in hand...I could not wait. All and all, great location, great establishment, great staff, and...
