Applebee's Grill + Bar — Restaurant in Avon

The professionalism and customer service has completely fallen off at this Avon Applebees location. Bartenders and waitresses don’t greet you when you come inside, but rather stare at you in anger as if they are mad because they have to do work. Bartenders run to the back to hang out with their friends after 11pm or if they simply don’t feel like serving you. If you plan on ordering food after 11pm, you can forget about it. I used to be able to order food to go as late as 11:50pm on any day of the week after I got off work. They used to honor their close time and let customers walk in to sit at bar and order food as late as 11:45/11:50pm right before closing. Now when you call to order food to go after 11:00pm, managers/waitresses will lie and say that the “cooks have already turned off the grill.” Never eating here again! Good food better service. I say that because they're so short-staffed it's sad unfortunately they can't keep people because nobody wants to work the people that are there are great people I even call corporate and complained about the problem they need to figure out how to get more staff because it's such a good place that they need our support right now the people that are there need our support especially Kylie and her manager I can't remember her name but they were the only two people working in the front of the house and it was sad they did such a good job only being them to that it's kind of amazing they could be that nice and polite even though they're backed up against the wall being by themselves great people great place I highly recommend going just please exercise patience and understand your situation they don't deserve it because they're still there...

I found a gift certificate in my billfold and took my husband to dinner. I don't normally go to Applebees so went online to check out the menu and found some really sad reviews. But it was going to be cheap. They were slow to seat us but it did get better. Our server was pleasant and apologized for the delay. She obviously had more than her share of tables but did the best she could. She had taken the order from a table of 7 before ours. Luckily they took pity and we were served before them! Our food was good and in nice portions. Our server by this time had even more tables but she was able to still check on us.
