EDIT: Got free drink vouchers from the last debacle. Went to use them and the girl behind the counter said we could use our rewards app and still get points.
This is where our troubles begin. She was misinformed. When we scanned out rewards barcode it took our points to pay for the drinks. Seriously!!??!?! Is there any way to give this place negative stars? My wife went from 2105 points to -273 points after the Manager tried to reverse the transaction. Now she has to call the corporate office to get it remedied and she said she'd call us back once it's sorted out.....I won't hold my breath for that call.
Been 3 times since they've opened.
Visit 1 - They were packed of course it's a new place in Avon, yay! They forgot to make my wife's smoothie. We later realized they hadn't even rung it up. Seriously....it's not that hard to take a simple "I want this smoothie" order. Also no special requests were made, this was right off the menu.
Visit 2 - Not overly busy but it still took 30 minutes to get our smoothies.
Visit 3 - We go to the drive thru, just don't do it. They switch employees part way through and they can't discern the difference between a 20 oz. and a 32 oz. drink. We repeat our order 4, count them, 4 times.
We pull up to the window and my wife had a coupon on her phone. They take her phone and have it inside for 5 minutes. They also took it far enough that it disconnect from the bluetooth in the car. The drive thru employee who later brought out our drinks had a dirty partially attached band-aid on her finger.
We then get told to pull forward after waiting that long. There was already another car in queue (not looking good). They brought out the wrong order twice. Then our order starts coming out one smoothie at a time (we had ordered 5). We asked for a drink carrier but that didn't come until the Manager started handling us. The Manager was awesome handling our issues. As for the other employees, there are more people out there experienced in food service....time to clean house...
Read moreThe smoothies have always been good. Service is always slow as molasses. However, after tonight 5/8/2020 this will be the last time I part with my money at Smoothie King. The store closes at 9 pm. I pulled into the line of the drive through with about 9 or so cars ahead of me and about 20 minutes before they closed. A few more cars pulled in behind me well before 9pm as well. A guy even opened the back door before 9 to look how many cars were still waiting in line. They knew there were cars that had been waiting in the drive through well before they closed. At 9pm they shut off the drive through and would not take and fill the orders for all the customers that had been waiting in the drive through. Arguing and getting mad didn’t help. Just got sorry we are closed and can’t take your order. Horrible customer service and horrible management for doing this. Simply send a employee out with a cone to place behind the last car and to politely tell arrivals after that they are closed. It isn’t the customers fault your staff or process or both is so slow that you store can’t clear the drive through properly and take care of the customers. I know the money that is spent to get and retain a customer is huge in business. It’s mind boggling that staff would just toss all that investment right out the window in order to quit blending smoothies for another 20 minutes to take care of the customers that were legit in line before the store closed. Not only did you lose me as a customer but I’m sure there will be a few more that just won’t ever come back. To be fair some will get over it and show back up but some won’t. But hey on the bright side the employees got out on time or maybe 15 minutes earlier than usual. Hope it is worth it for your...
Read moreStarted visiting the Avon Smoothie King prior to covid and since covid hit we have been there 2-3 times per week. At first the service was great but the last few times we’ve been there the wait has gotten longer and longer. Last visit ordered through app got there at designated time and smoothies weren’t ready for another 20 minutes. Today was the last straw, I ordered on the app at 12:14pm, said it’d be ready at 12:28pm, I got there right at 12:28pm. There were 10 cars in line so I walked in and asked about the order, the girl behind the counter said they were working on it. I believe I saw 5 employees working. Meanwhile the 6 people waiting on smoothies got theirs, and 2 more came in and picked theirs up. After waiting 20 minutes and the last person walking out I went back up And asked how much longer it would be, one of the workers looked at me and very rudely proclaimed “we’re working on it”. So now I’m upset, I hadn’t said anything or been rude... so what’s the deal. Finally after a half hour of waiting my 4 smoothies were done, one of the girls simply muttered under her breath as she slid the order to me that they’d messed it up the first time. Not once during the half hour that I stood there did anyone say anything to me or apologize. As I walked out of the empty store I glanced over at the drive through, it was empty, not one car. Terrible customer service, terribly slow service, but great tasting smoothies. Due to the bad experience I did some research and discovered a new smoothie place that opened up about a mile away from them, will be trying it out real soon.
