The only thing consistent with this new Coopers Hawk in Avon was subpar service from start to finish in every aspect. We arrived 1.5 hrs before our 8pm dinner reservation so we could do the 45 min wine tasting. This was a Friday night and it was busy but nothing out of the ordinary for a Friday night restaurant. Its new so you would think they would be prepared for the influx but it started with super slow service at the wine tasting bar. The wine servers were so busy tending to everyone but no one at the same time. They brought the wrong wines, spilled a bottle at one point all over my guest and the floor and it only got worse from there. After only having 1 glass of the tasting and 45 mins having passed I finally asked a manager if we could get some service and only our 2nd glass of 8 from our tasting. I pointed out that there were more people at the bar then servers and it was a cluster all while 3-4 employees stood around not willing to lend a hand. Even after summoning the manager who assured they would assist, the server still showed no sense of urgency and continued to bring the incorrect wines or even complete the full tasting (this was only one tasting split by 2 people so 4 glasses per person). As our dinner reservation was fast approaching some of our party were only on their 3rd or 4th tasting out of 8 and this was after and 1.25 hours which normally takes 45 mins to do the whole thing. Finally after being rung up for our wine tastings we were seated at 2 separate tables since we had 8 people and they can only accommodate 6 people at a table max. We waited for what seemed forever just to order drinks and more wine to wash the bad taste of poor service out of our mouths. We started with 2 different servers and winded up with 1 for both tables and the lack of communication became a nightmare. We ordered multiple appetizers and they came out with no consistency in timing. The server finally took our dinner order after an hour and a couple appetizers. It was another waiting game until dinner came out and I think in between waiting we finally got our first round of drinks we ordered when we first sat. When the food came out the servers didn't know who had what and forgot half the side salads as they weren't brought out prior to. The food wasn't bad although the steaks were overcooked and probably the only saving grace but for the price you would expect better. We arrived at 630 and dinner started at 8ish. Around 945 we got our checks which was a whole ordeal and even after verifying who had what they came back wrong. Finally around 1015 we were about the last people in the restaurant we paid our check and headed out around 1030pm. I'm hoping since this location has only been open a month its just growing pains but save yourself the trouble and wait 6 months or so until they get it together. This was supposed to be an enjoyable holiday dinner with friends and it was by far the most irritating experience from start to finish I've had in any restaurant and I have a high tolerance for BS. Save your money and go elsewhere or wait 6 months to a year for them to figure out how to run the place. 2...
Read moreCooper's Hawk Avon opened November 5, 2024 and I can't believe it has taken me this long to get there. Where do I start.... When you walk into Cooper's Hawk entryway it is absolutely beautiful. There are homemade truffles right there for you to purchase along with so much more. They have a beautiful wine set up if that is your thing. The store is lovely to peruse while waiting for a table. After being sat at our table we were greeted with a beautiful smile from our amazing server Quinn. With an extensive menu and a chefs add on menu it took some time for me to decide as this was my first time. My original order was placed but sadly had to be replaced as Chef informed our server that the sea bass would not be available until dinner although it was on the lunch table menu. With that being said Quinn gave several great suggestions and we ordered the following. The Asian shrimp lettuce wraps ( not sure that is the correct name) The Roasted Chicken Giardiniera with Betty's potatoes The surf and turf with drunken shrimp and the surf and turf parmesan crusted filet medallions with scallops gratin, roasted vegetables and mashed potatoes. I thought everything was very good. I especially liked the huge variety of choices on the menu. I have even decided next time around I am getting the Sea bass or the chicken madeira. There were 3 of us celebrating our birthdays at the same time! Quinn made it extra special for us by bringing out some homemade truffles and with a quick and quiet happy birthday song we enjoyed our birthday celebration. We ended our meal with some espresso and a coffee along with Cooper's Hawk famous chocolate cake and their special carrot ginger cake. Absolutely delicious! I can't say enough about the great service Quinn gave us and how welcoming she was to our entire party. We also had an added bonus when the assistant general manager Amanda came over to check on us, we were able to tell her how wonderful of a job Quinn did and what a fantastic time we had. Amanda took good care of us and will be seeing us again in the near future. *Added plus I was able to get my son a Pina colada truffle as they do nut use any artificial dyes and he stated it was "Amazing!" I will go back again, though I thought some items were a bit pricey, the atmosphere and service definitely are well worth it. If you like my review please consider giving it a thumbs...

From the moment we walked in, the beautifully designed décor and top-notch service created an exceptional experience. From being seated to settling the bill, the hospitality was flawless.
While this may not be a traditional fine dining experience, it comes remarkably close—and then some. Due to a shift change, my table had two servers during our visit, and both were fantastic, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable evening.
The food was incredible, and we were pleasantly surprised by the two complimentary wine tastings to kick off our meal. As first-time guests, this thoughtful touch made the experience even more special. My friend and I fell in love with the bubbly Blueberry Acai Sangria, one of their house-made selections. It struck the perfect balance—not too sweet, not too tart. We loved it so much we ordered a bottle for the table, and our server made sure every detail of our meal was enjoyable.
For dinner, I had the wedge salad, steak, Betty’s Potatoes, and broccoli. Every bite was perfectly seasoned and delicious! The Betty’s Potatoes were so good that I found myself wishing for more. For dessert, we tried the chef-recommended Passion Fruit Cheesecake. Though I’m not typically a fan of passion fruit, this dessert completely changed my mind—it was absolutely stunning. In fact, it’s the best cheesecake I’ve ever had, surpassing even the Cheesecake Factory. That’s saying a lot!
Overall, everything about this restaurant was excellent. I couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience.
P.S. It was so amazing that I went back three days later to buy two more bottles of the Blueberry Sangria and more cheesecake. I just couldn’t...
