My daughter checked out and her bill came to 75 dollars (way too much for what she bought) clerk was very distracted. We loaded the babies in the van and I went back in to get a refund. She bought a lot of items and I had to take each one out while they looked for the price on the receipt. They have no upc label, so they know what is what, all depends on the price. So after waiting in line getting to the clerk taking out everything so she could compare it to receipt. She found we were overcharged and called her manager who said she couldn't do anything so she called main manager. He said he would have to view the video which he did and discovered they overcharged her. So yea they were very nice and they did give a refund for what was their fault in her being overcharged. But after burning 45min to an hour of our evening with my daughter waiting with her babies in her van I would have thought for all our trouble for a mistake their employee made they would have offered a percentage off the whole bill, or a coupon for our next visit or something for waisting our time due to their fault. But nothing... he said you'll just have to get back in line.... but then he asked the manager to ring me up so I didn't have to wait in line. Manager was very apologetic and nice which I so appreciated but felt like we deserved a little more from the head manager than sorry you're right we messed up and overcharged you almost 25 dollars, heres your money have...
Read moreI don't think i have ever been in an establishment that is more rude to their employees. Before the store opened, approximately 50 people were hired on to set it up. I know of several of them who were promised full time work with a 17.00 an hour rate. Currently, Hobby Lobby only pays 11.00. As soon as the store opened many were fired and many more were given as little as 10 hours a week to work. Aron, the manager, told the employees that the store isn't making enough money and they "should take what they can get." The local management and management that came in from surrounding stores openly used terms for the employees like, "scrubs" and openly screamed at them in front of customers. As of this writing, approximately 26 employees were sent their final pay in the mail without being notified but still scheduled to work in order to perform the grunt work. From the very beginning until now, Hobby Lobby has lied to the employees, made promises they knew they would never keep and treated them as though they were garbage. I promise to pay more money in any other store rather than any Hobby Lobby location because this is not how a self-proclaimed Christian outfit is supposed to be operated. It's very deceitful, greedy, and extremely cruel to hire good, hard -working people with promises of full time work in a wholesome environment and then to behave in...
Read moreNice place. Very clean. Customer service is nice until you have a problem. I gave a SKU number to pick up, it’s a 25 minute drive to Avon. The girl on the phone said she had four of my item. I come to pick it up, they’re all different sizes. The lady tells me “well they’re NESTED. So they’re all different sizes and we take them apart when they ship in”. As if I’m supposed to know that three items have the same SKU number. I ask how I’m supposed to know that? She says the lady probably didn’t know either! Which seems quite obvious to me at this point.
No apologies. No “let me take a look when we’re getting a shipment”. Nothing. Just stares at me. I love Hobby lobby but can tell you I won’t be back to Avon’s. I’ll drive even further if it means avoiding a place that has zero accountability and blames the customer for not knowing one SKU equates to three items. Wouldn’t have been a huge...
