Michaels — Local services in Avon

One of the worst customer services experiences I have ever had. Drove 20 minutes passed our local Michael because they were out of stock of the Cricut Maker - called the Avon location to see if they had any in stock. The person who answered the phone informs us that they "have plenty". Great! Get to the store - grab the sales card to purchase, grab the other items that we needed - head to the check out counter. "Sorry, we only have the Explore 2"... I say "we just called, please check". She goes to check, again, nothing. Manager was in ear shot and watched the whole exchange and never once offered an apology or any assistance in finding one elsewhere. I found that several items in their store were at least $2-3 more than Pat catan's and AC Moore. I know it's December 18th. But they had one cashier and the line kept growing longer and longer and no one was coming to help. she was very pleasant and moving as fast as she could but also giving good customer service to each person that came up to the register.After about 10 minutes and 15+ people in line, 3 other workers came up and opened registers. The new cashier kept apologizing saying we were all busy helping customers. But that's not true, I left the line walked around the store and couldn't find one other employee in the store. I usually go at night because a few evening associates who are very helpful. However in the last year the store has started to look rundown, is always a huge mess and no one seems to want to help you( if you can find anyone in the first place).
