Einstein Bros. Bagels — Restaurant in Avon

Had a decent first experience, but just wanted to make folks aware of what you may experience if it’s anything similar to my experience here.

First of the bagel sandwiches are phenomenal, they are exactly what you order no issues there. You may end up with a spare piece of sausage as they prep all the bagels on the same prep line. You can see this as you enter. No issue to me but other maybe, not sure! My farmhouse sandwich came out great no issues like I said before. My wife’s egg sausage also came out with no issue.

Where some push back occurred was with the pictures Cold brew! Normally, I go anywhere and order a cold brew, I only have to worry about the occasional simple syrup the coffee shop may want to offer. Not here, as per the picture straight from the website, the Classic Cold Brew comes with cold brew served over ice. Nothing else. Simple and great. Well, the person who was on drinks Today, graciously added half and half as they stated all cold brews come with half and half. I appreciated the extra add in, but this was not what I ordered or wanted. Simple enough the worked went and got me a new cold brew but wanted me to know to order the right thing next time. They offered some great advice as to hot to get the plain cold brew, which was to order the plain iced coffee. Sure enough, I didn’t order or wanted a plain iced coffee. Cold brew is slow brewed usually overnight, or at least the concentrate used to make the cold brew is. Iced coffee is usually hot brewed drip coffee poured over ice and served over ice. Different if you order these things often. Taste wise, this reminds me of a iced coffee as it’s after taste is slightly burnt and bold. Cold brew tends to be rather smooth. No problem. They are new here and seem to be in a rush to get food and drinks out. Simple issue, just be aware of what you order and what you get.

I have had a good experience with Einstein Bagels before and my whole FAM LOVES Einstein Bagels. I've tried it in the past in Arkansas and that's where we got addicted to these fabulous delicious bagels. I'm always a carb conscious person but I can do a cheat day with Einstein Bagels. I knew Indiana had few locations but too far from where I live. When I saw new location opened in Avon I rushed.

Bagels were up to the mark. Quality 10/10. As expected, they never fail in their Bagels. However, it wasn't the first time I was ordering Einstein bagels, new location - yes but it wasn't my first time. I know every single location has those shmear/spread tubs that should be enough for the whole family. I did not find those at these locations and when I asked they gave me a spoonful of the shmear in a disposable plastic container. Me being introvert and not want to ask again I walked away. Not sure if I communicated it wrong but that was the only mishap that happened. Good thing we had a shmear tub from panera at home so we just used that but a small plastic container shmear wouldn't be enough for 6 bagels. Also, I ordered bagel & shmear, and thought it would come with it but there was no shmear. Please fix this issue, I understand it's a new location and im excited but bagel places always offer spreads in tubs.

Hi all, I was excited to finally have one closer as I fell in love with Einstein Bagels the first time I tried it. However, I am deeply disappointed on how the staff were trained at this location. My husband I ordered carry out. This location does not check phones as people come to pick up an order so it is apparently a free for all. Not only did our order get taken once, but twice after they remade it (because again, it is a free for all). I know it was remade because an employee had let it slip that it got taken “again.” After all this, there were no more bagels to recreate our order. The way this whole ordeal was handled was extremely unprofessional and the fact that someone remarked “we’ve only been open a week,” is no excuse. There were atleast 10 people working there and not one was assigned to tend the carry out orders. With chains like this opening, the staff is supposed to be trained at well ran locations to ensure there is consistency among the stores. In the end, food can be ordered somewhere else but this felt like some kind of a joke. There is no way this is standard...
