Firehouse Subs — Restaurant in Avon

The franchise owners, Zoran and Carrie, are AMAZING!! A friend's mom passed away. I called the Firehouse subs closest to where the family was gathering but I was told they wouldn't be able to help me with a same day delivery. They suggested I call the North Olmsted location which was a different franchisee and I'm so happy I did. They NEVER hesitated when I let them know I was requesting a same day delivery. The owners were quick, attentive, empathized with my situation and just overall GREAT! After talking they followed-up not once but TWICE to be sure they were getting my order exactly as I wanted it (ex: putting the lettuce, tomato & onions in separate containers vs on the sandwiches). If you get water from this place make sure it's from the coca-cola multi dispenser! I got water first from the "water and tea" station and it tasted like copper. It was some of the worst tap water I've ever had. The place is clean and new as expected. The crew was very friendly and attentive.

I ordered a New York Steamer medium size, and the sub was good, but a little disappointing in how little meat was in the sub itself. My corned beef was very fatty, but once I picked out the fatty bits and added some italian sauce it tasted great. Just wish I could get a decent amount of meat on my sandwich.. The pictures show them loaded with meat, but the real sub was half that.

First time trying this spot yesterday. The guy working drive thru was super friendly and patient, willing to explain anything. The menu was impressive. I loved the different sides we could choose from instead of just chips or cookies like other places. Hubby got meatball sub with loaded potato soup and I got steak and cheese with chocolate chip cookie. Everything was delicious. I would just get extra steak next time (being from Boston, I'm used to a loaded steak and cheese lol) and unfortunately, parts of the steak was still cold.
