I am an avid Costco member for at least 20 years and Iāll tell ya, there are differences in every location. I moved to Avon, OH from NJ and I have to be near a Costco or else my life isnāt complete. I read a comment below about how Avon people are rude and I donāt think Iāve experienced that at the Avon location... in Strongsville I have and wonāt go to that location. The returns customer service workers are usually very nice however, while I lived in NJ they never said anything about a 30 day limit for price matches⦠Iāve returned products that were older than the worker (no lie! It was unused!)and for that, I could not complain about customer service. Products are great but I hate how some of the best snacks Iāve ever had are not available after a short time and never to be seen again. One criticism that I would agree with from a previous comment is workers are always talking to each other at Avon location and ignoring customers when I needed help scanning something but actually the last time I was there, the woman was a little aggressive to get people to walk over to the empty self checker. Thereās lots of people around and no one wants to walk over people but sheās yelling for people to come over to the self checker. I didnāt take it personal but calm down, not everyone is in a big rush. People need to take a course on professionalism in the workplace but I feel like thatās a nationwide crisis to be honest. lol. Iām never not going to be a Costco member and I choose the locations I like to frequent (Avon being one of them) because Iām happy with the company as a whole and they have...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreTwice now I've had an awful interaction with a cashier named Sam. First instance was when I asked my daughter to pay with the credit card with my name on it that I was handing to her IN FRONT OF THE CASHIER which matches my membership card because I really had to use the bathroom. This woman had an absolute fit about it and was super nasty to me bc 'she's not on the membership card'. She was extremely rude about the entire thing. Now fast forward about a month and a half and I didn't realize I had this cashier again. I'm checking out with my husband and I asked him to go order a pizza while we were checking out so it would be ready by the time I was done. He hand me his card just in case I cannot find mine. The cashier IMMEDIATELY snaps at me and says 'are you on the membership too?!', which I tell her yes I was and that was my husband. I then told her I was looking for my card but I though I might have forgot my card at the return counter when we walked in. Apparently this was not okay with her because she starts berating me telling me I cannot pay for the groceries with my credit card because he walked away and I didn't show her my card even though I AM ON THE MEMBERSHIP and she watched my husband walk away to order the pizza. The way she goes about this entire thing is why I'm so irritated about it. She caught me off guard with how mean and rude she is. She's vile and doesn't know how to speak to people. I could use other choice words to describe her but I won't be doing so. Someone needs to have a talk with this woman or I will be letting my membership expire if I have to deal...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI think this was my first bad experience with Costco. I mean I've been disappointed when they don't have stuff but this was upsetting. I went in to ask a question and everyone looked at me and told me I was wrong. I asked them who do I need to talk to to find out the logistics and they told me there is no where else to go. I will be calling corporate later.
I went to look for plain old regular pretzels they have sourdough the big old thick ones, and they have peanut butter-filled once neither one do I want. I understand changing out certain things but pure basic should be there.
The other thing that bothered me this time was a few of the sample people. I don't need to know that they're sending you on break 20 minutes after you get there and that you're going on lunch an hour after you get there. I had a legit question for you but you were too busy talking about your brakes to somebody else. Guess I won't be buying that item.
My cashier I think this is the first time somebody hasn't asked me how I was doing, if I found everything okay, have a great day nothing. I think she needed a break she was a tad bit grouchy. Needless to say this is a rare occasion normally I have absolutely wonderful things to say about Costco hopefully they get their game back into shape the holidays are right...
