Red Robin used to be one of my favorite restaurants when I lived out of state. About 5 years ago, my husband and I would visit at least twice a month. We went to the Red Robin in Avon this afternoon for lunch; this is the first time we've been to a Red Robin in about 3 years. The "shrinkflation" at this restaurant is real. The Avo-Cobb-O salad used to be my go-to because unlike salads at many restaurants, this salad came with a generous portion of lettuce, cheese, chicken, and avocado slices. I used to rave about this salad and tell everyone to go to Red Robin just for this entree. The salad I was given today was about 1/3 of the size of the salads Red Robin used to serve. I'm not sure how it could be marketed as an avocado cobb salad when there was literally two small slices of avocado on it. There may have been a quarter of a grilled chicken breast and one cup of lettuce at best. The salad also had a watery taste to it. Not to mention that this salad is $13, so it's priced similarly to a dinner-sized chicken salad at many restaurants, even with inflation. This was a total rip off. I'm not a big eater by any means, but I actually left hungry.
I will say that the service was absolutely great. Our waitress was awesome and the other staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, rather than just charging a few extra dollars for a normal portion, they shrunk the portion of this salad drastically. It left much...
Read moreEverything started just fine.. until my birthday boy 4 years old had to use the bathroom... we enter. The handicap stall is in use. The other stall is well..... not useable.. so we head to the urinal that is just to tall for my little man. As he his trying to use it I speak out loud.. this restaurant has gone down hill lately buddy. Then out of the handicap stall comes the ast. Manager shawn. He asked what was wrong and I explained. Shortly after he comes to my table with wife and children and explains the condition of the other no handicap stall that he was not using. Maybe I'm crazy but talk about a subpar toilet should not be topic of conversation at a dinner table. I also told him by half eaten burger was rare at best.. he did nothing but walked away. We paid the bill in full and left. This is where it gets better. I called after putting my kids to bed to talk to shawn. He repeatedly called me dude and man like I was his friend. He also claimed he was the manager and there was no one else I could talk to. I called back again hopefully to get someone else.. nope.. just him. I was then told to go to the the website to fine another name. I did that and went through the prompts only to have it say call tomorrow and then hung up. No opportunity to leave a message. Just call back. So far so bad. I doubt I will get a response to this review but that's ok.. just built a new...
Read moreTook my child and her friends there the day after x mas; they said it would be a while as the grill wasn't 'liking what they were doing to it."- and yes that is verbatim. I told her it was okay and understood (whatever her statement meant?) Server said she would supply us with some complimentary fries for the wait which I thought was very nice. We received 2 orders of fries, which there was 4 of ya which I thought of as weird and kinda unthoughtful, as I was just chaperoning my child and her 2 friends; so two of us just sat and waited for our orders. Not long after our orders arrived, and the food was good, but we were not supplied with any napkins; this is as inherent to be supplied as silverware. But they weren't and after our orders were brought to us any type of service was non-existent so we were left sitting without any for the majority of our meal. After someone returned and brought napkins I asked for more garlic parmesan fries which was placed withy order and brought back only regular fries.
Nevertheless, the food is good; but they just need to brush up on their service. You see, I'm not complaining, but if your paying good money for a nice meal I don't think it's unreasonable to get basic table utensils as well as what...
