The food here is always pretty good. But usually when we come in we get serviced by a certain waitress that is not that good. Usually slow with checking and can be unpleasant at times. I’ve been here many times and I can account on this for many different occasions. Today we came in (I admit a little closer to closing) and had a horrible experience with the waitress mentioned above. Apparently today was a 40% deal when we followed certain instructions. One of these were pay in CASH. Me and my boyfriend both didn’t have a lot of cash so we asked where the atm was. When my boyfriend left to get cash, we let the waitress know. She didn’t let us know our total and my boyfriend got $40 out and came back. When we came back she brought out the check and we gave her what we had. We were expecting the %40 and to use the change we got back to give her a tip. She never put the 40% off on our bill then proceeded to slam the bill on our table along with the small amount of cash we had after the bill was paid. She told us to “keep our 1 dollar” as the change scattered everywhere. If she would of told us the total in the first place when he left to get the cash then this would of been avoided. Then with the attitude that we received from her when she thought the 1-2 dollars was her tip was horrible. If she would of actually put the 40% off on, then she would of had a good tip despite her slow service. We heard her talking about us as she walked to the back to tell the other waitresses. Any other cash I had for her was immediately put away after we heard this. Over all this place is good but definitely needs a change in servers.
(He also got locked out of the restaurant before closing time and had to wait for someone...
Read moreResponse to Fujiyama- could not figure how to respond to your inquiry so here is the requested info.
We dined at Fujiyama on 8/15. We were a table of 12, at table H7A. Time that order was placed was 7:18 PM. I am reading some of these reviews and the description and experience doesn’t match the star scale.
I am giving it 2 stars: When our party arrived, the hostess disappeared. We rang the bell (which says to ring for service) several times and no one showed. It wasn’t until I walked to the back to see if anyone could assist did I see the front host walking up.
She led us to the back where the hibachi stations were…and she started to throw the menus down to our plates. She was clearly not happy and it showed. Her rudeness was the first sign.
We waited for someone to take our drink orders - and again, it wasn’t until I walked up to the the area where their wait staff were that someone finally came. He was rude - and irritated. Second sign.
Our hibachi guy was meh. Nothing spectacular- the performance was mediocre (at its best).
The food was non- memorable- it was typical hibachi.
I think the service is why I gave this place 2 stars. Even as we were eating, we felt rushed and unattended. They close at 8:30… We arrived at 7:08 We waited to be seated We waited for someone to take our orders We waited for the hibachi to start… It seemed that the place was short staffed …
When we asked for water to the available waiter, the person said that he could not get us more water Bc he was not our waiter…
So service 2/10 Food 2/10 Therefore I give this...
Read moreDO NOT GO HERE. WORST MANAGEMENT. I took My daughter here for dinner. The vegetables were good, salad & California Rolls but the rest was not suitable to eat. The steak & shrimp tasted freezer burnt. The other couple sitting across from us also said their food was not good & didn't feel comfortable eating it. Our waiter was such a sweet young man and kept apologizing and went and got the manager. Not only was she mean she refused to take the meals off the bill. She brought us a new bill stating she gave us a "discount" and basically took 1 meal off each of our bills. I'm sorry but that's not good enough considering I ate literally 3 bites of meat 1 shrimp & maybe 3 tablespoons of rice. So she took the bill back and charged us for each individual thing we ate. Needless to say my bill was still over $55. I have never been to a restaurant where when everyone at the table ( mind you I didn't know the other couple) says their food doesn't taste right you still charge them. I had no problem paying for my sushi & drinks but I didn't eat buy a fee bites of my soup which had an odor to it & my salad. Needless to say we won't be back at this place again. In the past it's always been busy but maybe that's why there wasn't much business. If you can't run a business and want customers to be satisfied & come back maybe that's not the job for you. I'm very disappointed & hope I don't get sick...
