King Yuan Chinese - Avon — Restaurant in Avon

I love Chinese food (American style). Always have. I’m an airline pilot and have traveled extensively. Since 94 My family has moved 12 times. The first thing we do once we find a new home is start trying Chinese food take out. I’ve tried all of the area Chinese restaurants and my family and I prefer King Yuan for the items we order frequently. 90% of the time we order a combination of the following: (1) Sweet and Sour Chicken. king Yuan’s comes suace and chicken separate. The chicken is breaded and crunchy. The sweet and sour sauce is a simple red sauce. (2) General Tso’s Chicken. This comes with the sauce mixed with the chicken, broccoli and spicy peppers. The sauce is carmalised onto the chicken and additional sauce is poured over the entire contents. (3). Sesame Chicken. Sweet, crunchy and carmalised suace mixed with deep fried chicken. (4) Szechuan beef. Stir fried crunchy beef with caramlised sauce.

Anyway we like this restaurant for take out. Dine in is available but it is very basic. Canned and bottled drinks are available. We always take out unless we get lunch specials when picking up materials next door at Lowe’s.

I would not recommend this place to anyone! I had ordered a delivery meal (general Tso chicken) and they quoted 30-45 min. I had waited over 1hr and 43 minutes and had called three times while waiting. The responses I got from them were very rude and they even said the driver was in my driveway while I was on the phone with them standing in my driveway. When I said he’s not there their response was “well he said he was so idk what to tell you “ extremely rude! Another 6minutes later Once the food had finally gotten there, I immediately took it inside and checked it and it wasn’t even room temp and was chewy! Absolutely disgusting! When I asked the manager on duty for a refund she argued and was very rude to me but eventually said ok. Now two days later I had not received the refund on the card so I called back. This time the owner said they wouldn’t give me a refund they would only offer me credit to eat there! Again, unacceptable! I had to finally report this to my bank in order to get my money back and absolutely will never be going to this place again! Worst customer service ever! This is literally the WORST PLACE EVER! I read the reviews before ordering and there were mixed reviews but, I thought I would give them a try. I called at 1:18 to ask if they delivered and she said yes, so I ordered for delivery. At 2:22 I politely called back to speak with them to make sure my order was still coming, being it had been over an hour, and I only live 3 miles away. She said he was on his way. I would have gone to get it myself if I wasn't without a vehicle today. I called again at 2:43 and was just going to cancel the order since it had been an hour and 25 mins. and the lady picked up the phone and hung up on me! It's almost been 2 hours and they still have not come by nor have I been able to cancel the order! The crazy part is that I just ordered pizza and they just delivered it within 20 mins after waiting 2 hrs. on this place and still a no show. Don't waste your time...
