Where to begin... WOW!!!! 5** PLUS!!! If there was a higher rating, I would give it! The Avon, OH store is now my go-to place for anything electronic that needs to be looked at/ fixed. The story... I had an Ipod Shuffle (which production was discontinued by Apple years back) that I swear by when running because holds hundreds of songs, is so light & never an issue when running. The Shuffle recently stopped working after a good 'run', so I searched out & found a seller of new 4th Generation Ipods. Upon receiving, the Ipod had been stored for years & the battery was no longer working properly. This is where the story turned for the worst. I searched all over Youtube for tutorials or ways to fix this issue but was unable to find anything that wouldn't require some type of intense process due to the way that Apple builds & seals their products to deter from fixing, rather to have customers buy "new". After an initial stop at an Apple store, I was basically laughed out of the store because they told me that it had been years since those have been sold. They recommended contacting Apple directly. After an exhausting call into Apple, they told me that there was nothing that they could do. The frustration really set in because I could not believe that the company that designed & built the product could not provide any assistance whatsoever. The best they could do was refer me to what they call "3rd party vendors" like Best Buy, who service their products. I took the 4th Gen Ipod Shuffle into a Best Buy & they were 100 times more helpful, but ultimately could not help. BUT, they did refer me to UBREAKIFIX who they had had success with. So, I took the device into UBREAKIFIX & the technician was very understanding & willing to help. He had an idea & thought that he could get a part to fix. So, I put down an initial deposit to start the process & he went to work. A week later the part was in... and, drum roll.... HE WAS ABLE TO GET IT TO WORK!!! The effort & run around was worth it!! At this point, it wasn't about the money any more (which was truly reasonable at UBREAKIFIX), it was about somebody willing to help & solve a problem. Now that I am a satisfied customer, I will be a customer of UBREAKIFIX for life! ...
   Read moreI took my phone in to have the screen replaced. This was not warranty work, I was paying out of pocket. When I went to pick it up, they had replaced the screen and the phone was in acceptable condition. Tyler told me that they would not return the phone to me unless I also paid to have the fingerprint reader replaced. I told Tyler I was not interested in replacing that part and he proceeded to tell me that the phone was not mine and that it belongs to Samsung and if I don't pay to have the other part replaced they would not return the phone to me. I explained to Tyler that just because the phone says Samsung on it doesn't mean it belongs to Samsung and let him know that the ownership transferred when I bought it. At that point Tyler presented me with a ultimatum, he essentially said, you either pay to replace the fingerprint reader or I can put your broken screen back on and return your phone to you.
I was actually kinda impressed that they were able to reinstall the broken screen.
Imagine getting the windshield on your car replaced, but they won't return your car to you unless you get the trunk mechanism replaced. Oh wait, that is not your car, it belongs to some...
   Read moreDon't trust this place at all. Justin and his minions are rip off artists. Took a PS5 in for repair ended up with it stuck in safemode, damage to console and the original problem not fixed. They tried to say that the Disk drive was noisy. After a couple days my husband called and said go ahead and replace it. Weeks went by when we called back we're told it wason back order. At that point we purchased a second PS5. No one ever emailed or called us. I had got a email from assurion about another warranty. I called them asking why I didn't hear anything about our PS5 repair they said oh you never came to pick it up so we sold it. After escalating the issue all of a sudden they found it. Sent my son's to pick it up when we got home and tried to use it the PS5 was stuck in safemode and crashed everytime we tried to update it. Also noticed how much damage there was to it and the fan that they supposedly fixed doesn't work either. Going to take them to small claims court, report them to BBB and contact our attorney generals office...
