Extremely well crafted sandwiches from local ingredients and a sub-master from NJ and believe me, up north they understand “deli”. Minimal choices on the menu drives quality and consistency which is an extremely smart choice (and I’m a procurement manager for a food service GPO and have worked in the food and hospitality industry for decades). There is something to be said about simplicity and dedication to excellence and this is exactly what you’re going to get here. You can clearly tell the guy that runs this small sandwich shop is proud of his work and wants everyone that comes to get Yule best he’s got to offer

We got the roast pork and beef sandwiches. With every bite you can tell how much care went into crafting them. The pork was tender and savory, the spinach complemented it well and the side of juices brought me back to days growing up on the east coast. Avondale’s newest hidden gem is a modest sandwich shop tucked away on Center Street that offers the most fulfilling sandwich experience I’ve had in a long time.

Made from locally-sourced ingredients, these four sandwiches are a gourmet taste explosion from proprietor Billy Elek’s childhood in New Jersey. These are no ordinary sandwiches. For example, the Dartmouth is a two-tiered turkey club made amazing by the addition of Billy’s homemade pesto sauce.

The pro move is the Berkeley, a vegetarian panini made with fresh portobellos and truffle oil. It was so delicious I wanted to eat it in slow motion.
